Which should ideally be an everyday lifestyle. Unlike olden days, bulls, cows and calves are not in our backyard, when we consumed milk only after the calves had their fill and these domestic animals were much loved as part of the family….
The modern day factory farming of livestock is a cruel industry where the cattle go through an abusive life with painful injections of hormones, antibiotics and artificially impregnated multiple times for maximum production of milk and worse when the newborn calves are separated from their pining mothers….. males sent to slaughter for tender meat while females raised in restrained pens to continue the unnatural cruel cycle in the milking factories…..and when a cow is completely ‘spent’ or broken, they are sent to slaughter after a lifetime of slavery to humans….
BahulaChaturthi today should be a day to observe, seek forgiveness from these humble creatures of nature for being abused by mankind!
