Angel Eyes Bird Rescue Bird lovers unite to rescue, treat and rehabilitate injured, sick and orphaned wild birds. Based in Delhi-NCR, India. [email protected]

The Angel Eyes Foundation was set up in 2008, in service of street animal rescues; in pursuit of Indian breed dog adoptions and; in an attempt to design effective animal welfare awareness programs for school and college students. The foundation's bird rescue operations kick-started in 2010. With just a handful of rescuers and organisations experienced with bird care, and moreover, with just a hand

ful of bird housing facilities in the country; Angel Eyes soon began welcoming an overwhelming number of sick/injured/orphaned birds. Bird Care is now, what we do full-time. Our team also co-manages the bird hospital and treatment facility at Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Center and, at any given point of time, has over 400 birds under its care and observation. In addition, we work in collaboration with the New Delhi Nature Society to run a soft-release facility for birds that have recovered and are fit for release. Located in a beautiful agricultural farm in Chhatrapur, this facility has supported us in the release of hundreds of birds who continue to live in the green surroundings of the farm.

Mr. King has been with us for over a month now. His right wing permanently damaged. He has taken over the role of supervisor of all procedures at the aviary and watches everything with a close eye. He properly greets new birds and would write a good daily report if he could.

Billy needs some lessons in wilderness. Here she is perched right next to us and watching closely while we hand feed the other birds at our facility. She can fly well now, but is still a little young to be released. Until then, we will continue to stare at each other aimlessly.

Bunty and Bubbly in the house! They came to us as tiny tots, separate rescues, but became a dynamic duo on their very first meeting. They are absolutely adorable and have started taking tiny flights. To the skies soon we say!

Oh how much we love our babies, until one day they don’t want to eat from your hand anymore and learn how to use their beaks to bite 😂 Typical teenagers 😅

Meet Rosy. She was found running around on the streets, unable to fly. A bleeding nose along with symptoms of a concussion. Update - it’s been 5 days since we have been trying to catch her. Her flight is swift and beautiful and she needs to be moved to another facility where she will have company of other budgies. But only if she lets us catch her. This tiny one has all of us exhausted 😅
