Food Donation Appeal for Rescued Animals

🐾Dear Kind Souls,At People for Animals (Student Wings) Bhubaneswar Trust, we are on a mission to care for the voiceless creatures around us - the stray dogs, cats, and cattle. Every day, we provide them with love, shelter, and sustenance, ensuring they lead a life filled with warmth and care.As we embark on our journey into May 2024, we find ourselves in urgent need of your support. Our furry friends rely on us for their daily sustenance, and currently, we are facing a shortage of essential supplies. To keep their bowls full and their hearts content, we are in dire need of 500kg of rice and 20 bags of dog food.Your contribution, big or small, can make a world of difference. Whether it's sponsoring a bag of rice or chuda, or offering a donation of any amount, your generosity will directly impact the lives of these animals. Even a humble contribution of Rs. 10 can be a blessing for our furry companions.Remember, there's nothing more fulfilling than knowing you've helped save a life, even in the smallest of ways. Together, let's extend our hands of compassion and support to those who cannot speak for themselves. To donate or learn more about our cause, please reach out to us at 9337003881.Thank you for being a beacon of hope for the voiceless. With gratitude ,

My Self Santosh Das from Bhubaneswar People For Animals (Student Wings) My Contact 093370 03881

For the past 25 years, caring for animals and advocating for their rights has been my passion. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm thrilled to share my experiences with fellow animal lovers like you!

Whether you're in Bhubaneswar or anywhere else, I believe knowledge is power. That's why I'm dedicated to spreading awareness about animal welfare and advocacy.

Here's the message I want to resonate with you all:

Animals deserve respect: Let's break free from outdated ideas and fight for their well-being.

Every creature matters: Factory farming, testing, and cruelty simply cannot stand.
Make a difference: Volunteer at shelters, support animal rights organizations, or advocate for stronger laws!

Together, we can create a world where all animals are treated with the dignity they deserve.

Section 80G of the Income Tax Act encourages individuals and businesses to make donations to charitable institutions by providing tax benefits. These benefits can significantly reduce your tax liability, making it a valuable incentive for those who want to support worthy causes.

Eligible Institutions

To qualify for the deduction under Section 80G, donations must be made to certain specified institutions or funds. These include:

Funds set up by the Central Government or any State Government

Funds set up by any local authority

Certain charitable institutions

Certain trusts registered under the Indian Trusts Act

Certain university or other educational institutions

Certain hospitals

Certain institutions for the handicapped

Certain institutions for the promotion of art, culture, or science

Quantum of Deduction

The amount of deduction allowed under Section 80G depends on the type of institution to which the donation is made. For some institutions, a 100% deduction is allowed, while for others, the deduction is limited to 50%.

Limitations on Deduction

There are certain limitations on the amount of deduction that can be claimed under Section 80G. The total deduction claimed under Section 80G cannot exceed 10% of the donor's gross total income. Additionally, cash donations exceeding Rs. 2,000 are not eligible for deduction under Section 80G. However, donations made through digital modes like online transfers or cheques have no such restrictions.

How to Claim the Deduction

To claim the deduction under Section 80G, you must provide the following information in your income tax return:

Name and address of the institution to which the donation was made

Amount of donation

Date of donation

Mode of payment

You must also attach a copy of the donation receipt to your income tax return.

Benefits of Section 80G

Additional Considerations

In addition to the information provided above, here are some additional considerations for claiming the deduction under Section 80G:

Donation receipts must be valid: The donation receipt must be issued by a registered charitable institution and must contain all of the required information.

Donations must be made during the financial year: You can only claim deductions for donations made during the financial year for which you are filing your income tax return.

Deductions cannot be carried forward: If you make a donation that exceeds the 10% limit, you cannot carry forward the excess amount to subsequent years.

Conclusion

Section 80G of the Income Tax Act provides a valuable incentive for individuals and businesses to support charitable institutions. By reducing your tax liability, Section 80G can allow you to make a positive impact on the world while also saving money on taxes.
