Our sincere appreciation goes to judges: Mr. Savvas Hadjisavvas (CY), Mrs. Hedi Kumm (EE) & Mr. Martín Baskaran (ES) and handlers Fran Rupcic & Paloma Sánchez 🥰 He wasn’t shown in BIS considering high heat.

NO SHATSUKO Kennels
No Shatsuko Kennels are located in Northern Italy. We have refurbished an old dairy farm into our modern and functional kennel facilities which offers the best environment for our dogs, most of which live inside our home. There are spacious runs and paddocks where the dogs live and run happily and with us, working from home, are surrounded with the best care and full time contact. Our adults are all tested and certified free from genetical disease. Puppies are born and raised in the home and by 50 -60 days of age are already naturally house broken, well socialized with constant love and attention 24/7.
Our dogs coats are conditioned with BE LOVE - Grooming Products For Dogs
No Shatsuko is registered with the Italian Kennel Club and the FCI since 1991 and was founded by Richard Hellman and his lifetime friend Davide Ceci. They traveled twice to Japan to personally choose and import nearly 20 Akitas and in the following 15 years, their kennel became world famous for breeding Japanese Akitas and having produced an infinite number of World and European winners as well as Champions throughout Europe, North and South America. In 2019 Richard and Davide together with Fran Rupcic, Richard’s life partner, handler and groomer have brought back to life the No Shatsuko Kennel name and whelped their first American Akita litter in March, 2020.
Richard’s history with American Akitas goes back to 1976 where he had the invaluable fortune to have a world class mentor, Beverly Vics of the famous Tobe kennels who taught him everything about the breed and how to show them. Unfortunately Richard was forced to suspend the breeding and showing of his American Akitas in Italy in 1989 when the FCI standard was changed by the JKC and the FCI excluding American type Akitas from participating at shows up until the year 2000 when the breed was officially split into 2 separate and distinct breeds. With the help and collaboration of Friedrich Birkmar of Estava Rain Akitas, Richard got back into American Akitas nearly 10 years ago and had the privilege to handle many of ER dogs to World and European wins as well as several National Specialty wins in the USA, and BOB at Crufts!
We have imported some great breeding stock from some of the most prominent breeders on both sides of the Atlantic.
First we would like to thank Friedrich for Dakota, Randy, Woody and Valentina. Estava Rain has a rich foundation of Redwitch blended more recently with Regalia bloodlines.
We are also so grateful to Francee Hamblet, Hollie Walker and Barbara Sikkink of Minda and Quantum kennels for treasuring us with O'Henry who will be an invaluable contribution in our breeding program.
Thanks also to Antonio De Angelis for our foundation bitch Roxie, a daughter of O'Henry and Kitty who brings the best of Ruthdale lines and is the dam of our first litter.
We are very proud to have obtained 2 special dogs from Colleen Sullivan-Rosauer's Sondaisa Kennel. Kelso and Fynnlee are both offspring of Holster, one of the most beautiful Akitas in the history of the breed.
Thanks also to Francisco Garcia Montoto of De Kaner's Akitas in Spain who gave us Denis, with a strong foundation going back to Akiko Kennels.
Our most recent addition and collaboration comes from Dynamic Force Kennels of the Netherlands which has blended the best lines from Ruthdale and Regalia. Thank you Lene Lykke and Marcel Huls for sharing Drama with us which will add the best of their own bloodlines combined with Stecal Kennels.
