THE GOLDEN ERA bio
Frida k, selecter romana, si forma musicalmente fra gli anni Novanta e Duemila, frequentando la scena hip hop romana. E’ il fondatore di “The Golden era”, progetto nato nel 2014 a seguito di un viaggio a New York dove Frida K entra in contatto col panorama hip hop della grande mela (Q Tip, A Tribe Called Quest e Grandmaster Flash) in locali come l'Outdoor di Brooklyn e il Bowery Electric (Mobile Mondays) nel Lower East side. Il progetto prende vita a Roma, grazie alla collaborazione attiva di “Party monster” e del “Black Market”. Significativo l’incontro, nel 2016, con il collettivo degli “Sweat Drops” (Dj Baro, Dj Stile e F*k Pope) in occasione dell’evento tributo a James Brown, oltre alla collaborazione con il collettivo delle “Female cut”. The Golden Era si caratterizza per set musicali eclettici: si alternano l'RnB e il Soul delle origini, il Funk e la Disco con l'Hip hop old school e la Golden era in particolare, attraverso gli approdi del Retro soul, del NUsoul, del NUfunk, del New RnB e della Trap fino alle contaminazioni underground e urban. The Golden Era ha collaborato e collabora, fra gli altri, con realtà quali Female cut, Sweat Drops, Alcazar, Sheket, Quirinetta, Lanificio, Ex Dogana, Villa Ada incontra il mondo, Palazzo Velli, Palazzo Dama, Uptown, Coffee Pot, oltre a note aziende di abbigliamento e accessori. Dj Frida K debuted in the scene in 2014. Her musical background comes from the 90’s-2000’s american Rnb and Hip hop. She’s the founder of The Golden era, a musical project born in 2014, after an important trip to New York where she’s been inspired by the work of several important artists such as Q tip, A Tribe called Quest and Grandmasterflash met in person during their performances at underground spots such as Outdoor (Brooklyn) and Bowery Electric -Mobile Mondays (Lower East side). The Golden era set is characterised by an eclectic music selection: from Soul to Funk, from RnB to Disco, up to Retro Soul and New RnB, through out Old school Hip hop and Golden era. Frida K has collaborated with well known spots and crews such as Female cut, Sweat Drops, Alcazar, Sheket, Quirinetta, Lanificio, Ex Dogana, Villa Ada incontra il mondo, Palazzo Velli, Palazzo Dama, Uptown, Coffee Pot, Yugo and with important italian fashion brands.
