Officially AHS NEWARK'S #1 Longest Resident! 💔

AKA Dr. Pepper, a fun, chill, handsome boy who is clutching onto hope with the tightest grip. 🥹Over 600 days in our shelter, Dr. Pepper has never had an application or meet and greet despite being dog friendly and great for older kids/teens. 👍Dr. Pep, Peezy and Doc are some of his many nicknames at the shelter, he's known and loved by all here at AHS.💖

🥰Once he warms up to you Dr. Pepper is extremely affectionate, jumping up for pets and being an all around goof ball! 💯He aced his behavioral evaluation and is just searching for his big break out of the shelter!!!

🆘 URGENT Fosters Needed!

All of these dogs are in an overcrowded animal holding facility! Even helping one dog would help this situation as there are no open kennel runs! They will all need full vetting which we will pay for. We will supply all that is needed. We would do a meet prior to placement. 🙏🏼❤️🐾

Ricky - male, 9 months old, said to be friendly with all people and dogs. Surrendered for landlord issues. Will need someone with patience and ability to work on training. We will work with any potential foster.

Copper - one year old bully/boxer mix. Housebroken, obedient, good on leash and in car. Seems to be find around dogs and said to be good around kids.

Dior - brindle three year old low rider girlie. She is gentle, passive and loves to give lots of kisses and cuddles! She loves people and would be fine living with children over the age of seven-only because she has never lived with any. She is housebroken and walks very well on her leash. She even knows some basic commands. She seems playful and curious around other dogs.

STORMIE - 4 years old. She is a gentle, passive girl who needs a quiet, loving home with lots of structure and a routine. She does need to be your one and only pet. An adult home would be best for her. She’s housebroken and enjoys walks with her peeps.
