Don't misunderstand me when I say this, because if you follow me, you know how much I love "ALL" my dogs. ...But there is a special bond that Sherman and I have. He is as you would say "MY" dog. Just like Candy is Bill's dog. Sherman stays with me and follows me everywhere I go. There are times when he will look up at me as if he truly is saying I love you.
I love to sit on our porch on rainy days.... I love just sitting there listening to the rain and just enjoying the time I have here on God's earth. I have been very fortunate to have such a nice house to live in. It's not big it's actually small, but it's exactly what Bill and I have always wanted when the time came for retirement. We have about 3 acres and the house is a three bedroom ranch, in the middle of the Washington National forest. (It's perfect for us and all our crazy doggies) ... especially when you love nature like Bill and I do.
When it rains, I love sitting on our front porch. As always, Sherman will follow me with his tail wagging like crazy, because he knows I'm going to go sit and listen to the rain.. I sometimes wonder if he realizes when it is in fact raining. It is so funny how he reacts when I open the door and you can hear hear it on the roof. Sherman will look up at me as if to say aren't we going to go out and sit?
Right now I'm still lying in my bed here in my bedroom, because it's still pretty early, and Sherman is right by my side, looking up at me.... showing me love in his eyes.
it's raining today... so guess where Sherman and I are going to go.
The love of a dog is unconditional. Thank you God for such a companion to be by my side.
