Fern is a rescue that was rescued with severe twitch over 7 years ago . She survived distemper on her own when she was a homeless street dog prior to us rescuing and fostering her leaving her twitching constantly and uncontrollably . It is one of the horrible side affects of distemper when it hits the neurological system. Fast forward few years and the twitch disappeared completely!!! 🥳
We cannot thank Fern’s mom enough for transforming Fern physically and psychologically. It took a lot of work and dedication, and it paid off.
We love you both.

We have been out of funds for over a month now🥹 We would greatly appreciate itCliq: malathcrjPayPal: [email protected] had an emergency rescues when people starting leaving injured and vulnerable dogs in front of our homes. Here is an update on each rescue:Batal: We are currently boarding him in farm run by an animal loving family. He is around geese, other dogs, cats and the family that cares for him. He is a bit better and enjoys eating the most 😊 i3asal and her four pups: they were unexpected. Someone left her and her pups in front Maia’s gate and now we have no choice but to care for them and move them to boarding. The mom needs to be spayed and her pups, Remi, Snow, Piglet and June need their rabies vaccines. They are all up for adoption or urgent fostering too. Ivy: also an unexpected rescue who was left in front of my building 🥹 she is ready to find a home. Tal: We working on finding a flight companion that is heading to Chicago in January or February. He would need to go to boarding at some point because his foster mom is leaving the country. If you can donate, foster or adopt, you will be making their lives so much easier. #canaanrescuejordan
This our new rescue. She is a puppy that was shot by bunch of thugs because she has no voice, defenseless and just a pup. We got the plea few hours ago from the same kind man that reported Batal, the black dog that died at the clinic and now this poor pup. It was by the grace of God that he went to this area for work and saw this dog. We called Musheer of @magician_pet_taxi_jordan who rushed to pick her up after enduring hellish ride. The area where the dog was is filled with thugs who won’t hesitate to hurt a by passer let alone a pup. The pup is now at Petly clinic who thankfully were open late night during Ramadan. She is currently there now and we will get an update about her tomorrow.
We need to pay for her transport and her stay at the clinic. We need to cover this portion🙏🏻 if no foster or adopter was found, we will have to board her and we will raise funds for this part at a later stage.
If you can help us help her, please donate to

Or directly to vetzone.
Last nights pup is still at the vet. X-rays and blood work showed the following:
1- Fractured front leg which will be put in a cast for couple of weeks
2- undigested bone fragments found in her stomach
3- White blood cells normal
4- Refusing to eat
Currently on IV drip , antibiotics and other medications.
She is around 3 months. She warmed up to the vets quick and is just a love!! She will eventually be healthy again but she would need to stay at the clinic for at least 3 days.
If you can help in donating towards her medical and general expenses until she gets adopted, we would really appreciate it.
Foster or adopter needed.
Currently at vetzone and needs a foster until her leg heals.

Update on Batal: Batal was one of the survivors of the brutal shooting rampage. He was found crawling aimlessly in an empty field. Batal was shot by a hand gun and the bullet is still lodged in his spine because vets agreed that it would be too dangerous to attempt to remove it. Physically, he is still paralyzed from the waist down. He has muscle atrophy and was severely thin, almost emaciated. The good people in his current boarding home are doing small miracles by giving him daily exercise to build his back muscles, helping him put on weight and most of all, trust humans. Rescuing a paralyzed dog takes a huge toll on any rescue. Good homes could be non existent but we will try our best when the time for him to find a home , here or abroad, comes. We rely on our success stories of finding loving homes and wonderful rescues abroad to our special needs dogs to keep us hopeful 🙏🏻Batal is improving. His spirits are high. It takes a village to help any rescue, so we are so grateful for Nancy and her family for caring for Batal from the heart.

Graphic: in this short video you will see just a small number of dogs that we “rescued” that were shot by residents. What’s going on now ,especially, that there is a huge demand and out cry by people to shoot dogs that are taking refuge in neighborhoods and forming packs which is causing fear among residents. Who is to blame in all of this?? The dogs that were failed by the government to spay and neuter? They are doing this now but on what scale? The lack of education on how to deal with dogs? Rescuers are doing what they can ,and more , by cleaning up the mess of years of ignoring this problem. There should be a national awareness in schools, mosques, churches, centers of how to treat dogs. How many shelters are there run by decent human beings to take in as many dogs as possible? We understand the fear, but shooting dogs or poisoning them will never solve this. What is the solution??? #straysofinstagram #straysofjordan #amman #madaba #fuhais #mafraq #aqaba #irbid #usa #usaid #greaterammanmunicipality #canaanrescuejordan #canaandog #dogs #rescuedogsofinstagram #cnn #bbc #mbc

Help needed for this poor dog in Madaba. She has an injured frony leg and was reported the same kind person that reported Batal. We are unable to help anymore and are counting on the animal loving community to handle this case please . She needs to taken to the vet and returned back to her original area urgently . She had pups that died and it is just her. If anyone can help, please +962 7 8921 0085
Our boy Tal will graduate from his wheelchair soon! He’s growing stronger every day and even wags his tail now! Muscles are getting bigger and he’s getting more confident. He loves lounging with his people and also enjoys his outdoor time and car rides. He’s completely potty trained and will ask to go outside when he needs to but can also hold it while his foster mom is away for work. He’s good with kids and other dogs, but not a fan of cats. Our survivor boy is also smart and has already learned his basic command. He’s neutered and vaccinated too.
It is official, Tal is up for adoption! We’re looking for the perfect family for him that will continue to love and care for him as he gets stronger and continues to be an inspiration!
Dog is on the way to the vet now! he is safe, but critical :-(
Pet Taxi is on the way
We need urgent transport from madaba to vetzone. A dog has been shot and we have no way of getting him from Madaba. We will take care of the rest.
ADOPTED
Still waiting for the right home. Together or separately. Both are males. Please give rescues a priority when deciding to adopt or foster. Most people will eventually turn a blind eye when they find a dog that needs help not because of shortage of good people that want to adopt a dog, but because a certain breed is usually the top choice leaving rescues with no where to go. Please give a priority to the local breed.

Our directly to Vet Zone by the 8th circle.
I have not posted all the pictures of the blood bath, because they are terrible and super graphic.

Last night was so tough. I came home and Zara came to greet me only to see a faucet of blood coming from her amputation site. The amount of blood that she was bleeding was unbelievable 😢 it seems she ruptured a vein. Freaking out ,as I normally do, I called Dr.Ammar who came immediately to help. He managed to stop the bleeding while Mais Gammoh drove her to Vet Zone. Her hemoglobin level is low but not critical. She will live. I feel like I failed her when i removed the E collar too soon 😭 I can’t thank everyone enough for jumping to help her. She cannot catch a break! She is stable and will stay at the clinic till Saturday. Zara, we love you!!I thought we lost you tonight.
We urgent help to cover her medical and supportive care.
Canaan got neutered few days ago. His stitches around his neck came loose so they needed restitching. We can’t thank Mays enough for fostering him. He is eating well, wagging to his foster mom and loving the new phase of his life. We are still looking for an ENT specialist to give us another opinion, if you know one that is willing to check Canaan and give us a permanent solution for his case, please let us know.
Canaan is loving his toy and life in general! He is at the vet because his the stitches around his neck erupted and to get neutered. We contacted an ENT specialist who should get back to us to arrange a day to see Canaan and see what could be done
M about his severed trachea. Until this happens, Canaan is loved and he knows it.
We moved Canaan last night to a foster home. Yes, you read it correctly a FOSTER HOME💃🏻 We are still in shock that we managed to find him someone as loving and patient as Mays Al Reem. He has a room all to himself so he can decompress and get used to his new life of being indoors. He is accepting to eat from a bowl and getting more comfortable with his wonderful foster mom! Thank u @mayosalreem for helping a dog that has seen the worst in life.
Medically, he is still breathing from the hole in his trachea. The vets inserted a cuff to see how he responds to it. Phlegm accumulated in the cuff and it did not work. We will consult an ENT surgeon soon to discuss this. For now, he is breathing, eating and wagging.
Canaan wagging to his vet 🥰 He is a much happier and more trusting now. The days where he was suffocating, in pain and terrified of all humans are over. We will take that 🙏🏻
