Today, we’re sharing an update about Boo, Kawakuji’s beloved hospice care cat and unofficial mascot. This morning, Boo experienced another seizure, but as always, he’s showing his incredible resilience. 💪🐱 With the loving care of his dedicated foster parents—who cherish him as one of their own—Boo is recovering in comfort and surrounded by love.

Despite his health challenges, Boo’s spirit remains strong, reminding us every day why we do what we do at Kawakuji. He’s a fighter, a snuggler, and an inspiration to us all. 🐾 Meet Kasama, Kawakuji’s Newest Foster! 🐾

We’re so excited to introduce Kasama, a 6-month-old boy who’s already captured our hearts! Kasama got his nickname from the area where he was found as a stray, but it didn’t take long to realize he was way too friendly to stay outdoors. This sweet boy loves humans and is still adjusting to indoor life, but he’s already mastered litter box use and has a blast playing with his toys. His transition from stray to house cat is going wonderfully, and we can’t wait to learn more about his quirks and personality as he settles in.

So far, one thing’s for sure—Kasama is a certified cuddle bug! 🥰 He’s shown he can get along well with other cats and adores affection from people. We’re thrilled to have him as part of the Kawakuji family and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him.

💖 Boo: The Little Cat Who Could 💖

Since September 2022, Boo has been a cherished part of the Kawakuji family, living his best life in hospice care. This lovable, quirky little man has been through so much, and while vets haven’t been able to pin down exactly what’s wrong, that hasn’t stopped Boo from stealing hearts and showing us all what it means to live with joy. 💕

Once plagued by daily seizures, Boo’s foster parents and vets have worked tirelessly to find the right combination of seizure medication. Now, he’s doing so much better! Sure, Boo walks a little funny, occasionally misses the litter box, and his facial expressions are… well… uniquely Boo. But he’s also the cuddliest, sweetest, most affectionate kitty you could ever meet, just brimming with love to give.

Boo reminds us every day that no matter the challenges, every animal deserves love, care, and comfort. We couldn’t be prouder to call him one of our own.
