🎁✨ Holiday Auction Prep Has Begun! ✨🎁

Kawakuji volunteers are hard at work prepping for our annual Holiday Auction and we couldn’t be more excited! 🎉🐾 We’re gathering donations, making our lists, checking them twice, and getting everything ready for a festive fundraiser filled with joy, community, and incredible prizes! 💛🎄

This auction is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, helping us cover medical bills, food, supplies, and all the care our foster kitties rely on. Every bid, like, and share makes a huge difference for the cats of Kawakuji Rescue 💕🐱

🐾💙 Boo Is Doing His Best 💙🐾

Our brave hospice king Boo has been enjoying life to the fullest lately — sunbathing, snuggling, playing, and charming everyone he meets 💛🐾 Yesterday he went in for his yearly vaccine, and afterward he experienced a small seizure. Thankfully, it was short and much milder than what he used to endure 🐱✨

Thanks to the expert advice we’ve received and the medication that helps Boo recover quickly after an episode, his seizures are now far less frequent and far more manageable 💊💙 His foster family is prepared, calm, and always right by his side, and Boo continues to show us what true resilience looks like 🌈🐾🐱

🐾🌸 Elora the Explorer 🌸🐾

Little Elora is leveling up her world! 🌍🐱 She’s officially been given access to more of the house and is making brand new kitty friends along the way 🐾✨ She’s met her foster family’s resident cats and is learning what it means to share space, toys, and zoomies with other felines 🐾🐈‍⬛

Since Elora came to us as a singleton kitten, it’s really important for us to watch how she interacts with other cats 🧡🐱 This helps us understand whether she’ll thrive best as an only kitty or if she’d be happiest joining a home that already has one or two feline friends waiting for her 🏡💭

🐾💛 Welcome Home, Dewey 💛🐾

Meet Dewey, our newest foster and a very special gentleman ✨ This big, gentle 5.5kg boy spent his days living at a school in Ibaraki Prefecture, quietly charming everyone around him 🏫🐱 The vets believe he’s at least 5 or 6 years old, possibly even older, and as he aged, the teachers and children began to worry about his safety and well being 💭💔

Thankfully, the timing was perfect and one of our amazing foster parents, who specializes in caring for senior and older cats, had an open spot 🏡🌿 Dewey is now settling into indoor life, discovering soft beds, warm meals, and just how wonderful it feels to be safe, secure, and loved 🛏️🍽️💕

Every like, share, and donation helps us give cats like Dewey a second chance at life and a warm place to land. Your support keeps our mission alive and allows us to keep rescuing innocent lives that would otherwise be left behind 🐾💖

These sweet sisters are inseparable, always playing, cuddling, and exploring side by side, and they’re ready to bring double the love and laughter into one lucky home.

They’ve come so far in foster care, and now all they need is a family who will open their hearts to two precious souls instead of one. From his adorable whiskers to his curious little eyes, his cuteness is truly inescapable. We can’t wait to see this tiny superstar grow and shine as he discovers the world around him.
