We are overjoyed to announce that Mama Petunia and her precious daughter Ivy have officially found their forever home! 🎉💖 These inseparable tortoiseshell beauties will be moving into their new home in mid-October 🏡✨

Mama Petunia, who has been such a devoted, loving mom, and Ivy, her playful and curious little shadow, will soon have a family to call their own 💕🐱 It’s been such a joy to watch their bond blossom, and we couldn’t be more excited for the new life waiting for them 🌈🌟

At Kawakuji Rescue, we always work around adopters’ schedules to ensure the timing is perfect and everyone is ready to welcome their new furry family members 🕰️💞 It’s all about making transitions smooth and stress-free, both for our cats and for their forever families.

🌸🐾 The Tiny Trio Are Ready! 🐾🌸

Big news for Rudy, Tony, and Joe — our tiny trio are officially ready for adoption! 🎉🐱 After weeks of love, care, and medical treatment, all three kittens have had their surgeries, vaccines, microchipping, and final vet checkups ✅🩺 The only note is Rudy’s one non-functioning eye, but it doesn’t slow this little fighter down one bit 💪💖

These three siblings adore each other and have grown up side by side 🐾💞 While they don’t have a set bonded pair, their foster family knows that any two together would make the perfect team, while the third would thrive in a home with another friendly cat 🌈✨ The possibilities are open — and we can’t wait to see what their forever families look like 🏡💛

But now, we’ve captured the sweetest moment of them enjoying each other’s company 🌈✨

It’s such a joy to see them happy, relaxed, and embracing their second chance at life. With full bellies, cozy naps, and endless love from their foster, Momiji and Kaede are showing us every day how grateful they are to be safe and cared for 🏡💖

Momiji may always have her “resting Eeyore face,” but don’t let it fool you — she’s a happy, social kitty who adores attention! Kaede, her adventurous little explorer, balances out Momiji’s calm with playful curiosity. Together, they’re a picture-perfect mother-daughter duo 🌟🐾

🌼🐾 Daisy Plays Hide and Seek! 🐾🌼

You’d think living in an oxygen box would make Daisy easy to keep an eye on… but this clever little lady always has a new trick up her sleeve! 🎭✨ Somehow she’s figured out how to hide from the monitor camera her fosters use to check on her when they’re out of the house. Talk about giving everyone a scare with her new favorite game — hide and seek! 🙈💛

In today’s reel, see if you can spot Daisy in the first picture 👀🐱 The second photo will reveal the answer, along with an extra bonus of one of Daisy’s other favorite activities — dropping her toys into her water dish for a little added fun 🎉💦

🌟🐾 Rudy: Our One-Eyed Wonder 🐾🌟

Rudy’s story is one of courage, resilience, and second chances 💕 When he and his siblings, Joe and Tony, were first found, all three had badly infected eyes, but Rudy’s were by far the worst. With love, care, and medicine, his right eye healed beautifully ✨ Unfortunately, vets discovered his left eye was not only fused to his inner eyelid, but also severely deformed. Removing the eyelid could cause even more damage, so for now it’s safest to leave it as it is.

Though Rudy’s eye can’t be saved, it doesn’t slow him down one bit 🌈🐱 He’s adventurous, cuddly, and full of energy, racing around and playing like any other kitten. His battle scars tell the story of a boy who survived against the odds and blossomed into a joyful, affectionate little soul.

We’re hopeful Rudy’s forever family will see past his scars and embrace the reminder that he was given a second chance at life 🏡💖 Without rescue, he might have lost both eyes — or his life. Instead, this darling boy is thriving, proving that love, care, and determination can change everything.

💐🐾 Momiji & Kaede Update 🐾💐

Our gorgeous calico girls are continuing to settle into indoor life, and they’re showing us more and more of their unique personalities every day 🌸🐱 While they’re both happy to be safe and cared for, we’ve noticed something interesting — mother and daughter aren’t glued at the hip!

Mama Momiji is still decompressing from her time surviving outside, and she tends to keep her distance, preferring her own quiet space 💕 Meanwhile, little Kaede is proving to be an independent spirit, happy to spend her time exploring and relaxing solo 🪴✨

This could just be a temporary phase while they both adjust to the comfort of indoor life, or it might mean they’ll always be destined to live as solo cats. Only time will tell! 🌈 No matter what, they’re safe, loved, and growing into their best selves with each passing day 💛🐾

Today we want to take a moment to celebrate Boo, our brave little hospice kitty who continues to bring endless joy and love to his foster parents 💖🐱 Despite the challenges he faces with his chronic condition, Boo’s gentle spirit and affectionate nature brighten every single day 🌈✨

He adores cuddles, quiet naps in cozy spots, and just being near his people — reminding us all of the simple, beautiful things in life 💤💙 His foster parents cherish every moment with him, and we couldn’t be more grateful to them for giving Boo a safe, loving home where he can live out his days surrounded by care and comfort 💕🐾

We are overjoyed to announce that Rudy, Tony, and Joe have officially had their surgeries, received their second vaccines, and are now microchipped ✅💉✨ That means these three brave siblings are all set and ready to start the search for their forever home! 🏡💖

Big Joe might be the largest of the trio, but he’s also the biggest softy — an absolute sweetheart who adores cuddles and playtime 🐱💕 Tony, our little princess, loves nothing more than endless affection and will happily soak up every bit of love her humans have to give 👑💛 And Rudy, the smallest fighter who lost vision in one eye, has proven himself unstoppable! He’s the most active of the bunch, racing, playing, and showing everyone that nothing can slow him down 🌈🐾

These three have come so far from their rough beginnings, and we’re beyond excited to see what wonderful family will step up to give them the love and future they deserve ✨🐱 If you or someone you know has been dreaming of adding a trio of joy to their home, now is the time! 💕

Our sweet duo, Midori and Landi, are blossoming into healthy, playful kitties as they grow 💕🐱 They’ve fully adjusted to indoor life and have taken to the mischievous kitten lifestyle like pros — running, pouncing, and cuddling their days away 🌸✨

They’ll soon be ready for their next big milestones: surgery, blood tests, and second vaccines 🩺💉 Once that’s complete, these two will be one step closer to finding their forever home together 🏡💖

💙🌼 Daisy’s Growing Up Strong 🌼💙

Our brave girl is doing her very best every single day! ✨🐾 Daisy has reached 6 months old, which means her body is just about done growing. Her little heart and single lung are now nearly at full size, making this the perfect time to begin her out of the box training! 💪🐱 Just in time, too, as she’s grown so much she looks a little cramped 😅

Slowly but surely, she’ll start practicing life with less oxygen support so she can adjust and, we hope, live like any other happy cat.

We are endlessly grateful for the love, encouragement, and support Daisy has received along the way 💕🌈 Every comment, donation, like, and share has given this special little fighter the chance to keep moving forward. None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our community.

Our newest mother–daughter duo, Momiji and Kaede, are settling into their foster home and already showing off their personalities 💕🐱 Kaede is an adventurous little explorer, always curious about her surroundings and ready to investigate every nook and cranny 🐾✨ Meanwhile, Mama Momiji is taking a deep sigh of relief, so grateful to be indoors, safe, and finally away from the hardships of the wild 🌿💖

Despite her sweet and social nature, Momiji comes with a permanent “Eeyore face” 😔🐾 — just like the Winnie the Pooh character! Don’t be fooled though, because this lovely mama is a happy, affectionate kitty who adores human attention and is soaking up her new life indoors 💕🐱
