Meet the new love of our lives, YUKI, a little snowman coming all the way from Hokkaido, the northern island of Japan, by plane.
YUKI means ‘snow’, and it feels like we have the first snow of the season!
It’s a BOY even though Yuki is a common name for girls.

We participated in the first dryland race of this season last Sunday. It was a hot day for huskies but it was super fun!
We haven't gotten the result in detail yet but Tora won a 1-dog sprint game!

I see you, our DEERest friend💚
When we are here at the mountain, we get to see deer almost everyday.

But this guy is special. I have seen him for many years. You know why I could tell it's him? Cause a left part of his lower lip is torn and it looks like hanging a bit. I also noticed today that his left earlobe was torn as well.

It's a hunting season here for pest control and I hope he would survive just like he did for many years!

Can't believe you are 10 today🎂
When we got you 10 years ago, you were not an average puppy I imagined...
You didn't like to cuddle or hug.
You didn't like to swim.
You were such a picky eater.
You easily got moody or pouting.
You were so stubborn.
And you often made the enlightened face like a philosopher.
So because of all those characters you have been having, I've never pictured you as a senior dog. In fact, your soul hasn't changed a bit since you were a puppy.
You'll always be my puppy, and I'll do my best to make you feel like one today, tomorrow and for as long as I have the priviledge of sharing time with you.

MUSH ONNNN💨
Last weekend, we participated in the sled race we've always longed to go to. This race has a mass start which all teams start at the same time. And the boys run 5.6km/3.5miles in 2 days (it was supposed to be 4km lol), the longest distance they've ever run!!

We were the last team to finish since Ginn was freaked out at the start on both days, the dog run into us at the 2nd day and so on... but I am SUPER proud of them!

Tora also participated in the 350m sprint race on the second day and he did great!

It was so much worth driving for 500km/310miles one way to be a part of this race!

Before you came into our lives, we have peaceful mornings, untarnished furniture and lots of toys which weren't destroyed. In spite of giving us loads of headaches, the joy you have given us is unequal to anything.
You don’t need to know any tricks (which you don't even try lol) to capture my heart, just flash me that cute puppy dog eyes with big smile and all of it is yours. (Well, if Ginn did the same, you would need to share them tho!).
We went to the meetup today which is coincidently held on New Year's Eve&Tora's birthday every year. He and Ginn had so much fun with 60+ huskies!

We participated in the dryland mushing race on Sunday, and the boys won the first prize at the 1500m scooter/bike game!
We were lucky since other 2 teams were riding a scooter, which is hard when going up a hill, while ours was riding a bike. Still, the boys did great by overtaking others after our team started the last💪🏻

Today is 'Children's Day' in Japan. It was originally a festival for boys (Girls have their own festival on March 3) and families traditionally display Japanese Samurai armour or/and helmet in the house, wishing the boys strength and success in life💙

What is the occasion today?
Oh it's my 3rd !?
(It was actually 27th when the hoomans drove 900km/560mi round trip to get me!)
My husband bought the candle for Tora's birthday which was New Year's Eve but we couldn't celebrate the day properly since we were at the husky meetup all day. So here is with the mashed veggie cake I made today.

When Dad stole our thunder🙄
(This is what happened when you fall off but dogs are still pulling happily!)
We went to the last sled race of the season on Saturday which the boys participated in the 1,500m/1mile game.
They were the last team to finish but I couldn't be happier than to see them at the finish line since it was the longest distance game they have ever did (other than at the training).
They have achieved their purpose which was to finish it and use it as a confidence builder for the next season. Moreover the biggest achievement of this race was strengthening their bond and love for one another💪🏻

8 years ago, my husband saw one of those pics on Twitter. I fell in love with this puppy right away and we met him a few days later.
Then the rest is history!
