UPDATE: Leo has found his way home! Thank you for all who kept a lookout. 🐱

Please be on the lookout for Leo who accidentally got out from their house last night. He was last seen on Jones street on CFAY’s main base.

Leo is a chubby gray cat with a bald stomach and a tail that is bent at the tip.

Confident and outgoing, Samwise is a little orange boy whose goal is to play hard everyday. He is very energetic and struggles with gnawing on fingers, especially when he's getting sleepy. He did well in his foster home with an older child and adult cat, so he should be quite the adaptable boy to his environment, but could be slow to get comfortable around other animals. Galadriel is the mom of the hobbits and Gandalf. She is an extremely sweet girl who loves affection. She can talk a little bit, but is usually pretty quiet. She has gotten into playing but has not been an energetic, hyper cat in her foster home. One thing she likes to do is hide, but she can usually find her way back out when it's dinner time. She has two very young human foster siblings whom she has grown to tolerate, but is not open to receiving their love yet. So Galadriel would do better in a home with older children or no children.

Hi! I'm Odette, a lady of refined taste and class. I am 7 years old and have been spayed. I am very sassy and not for the faint of heart. Faint of heart in other animals that is. I rule the roost and do not enjoy other animals of any species in my presence. Towards humans however, I am an absolute joy and very affectionate. Some would even say I was a shelter fan favorite before I went into foster care. It's okay, you can fawn over me. In fact, please do. I adore attention. Give me sweet cuddles and chin rubs, and I am said to chatter my teeth in a way that kind of sounds like a cat purring. Which makes sense as I am the cat's meow. I am mostly potty trained and prefer my litter box. If doing something I am not supposed to, I can be easily redirected with a delectable little banana chip treat.

I would do best in a home with no animals and/or a home with older children. I do not like the tiny ones being in my face and I do not care for loud noises.

Hi! I am Marbles, a 1-year-old female rabbit who loves attention! Everyone knows that I am queen bee, and I deserve all the food and pets! I can be very mischievous and will escape my enclosure for two reasons, 1. for food, my hunger will never be sated, or 2. I'm bored and want to run around. I am mostly potty trained but do still have accidents on the floor so please have patience with me while I try to work through these embarrassing times.

I do well with both dogs and cats but can be a little bit of a bully, especially to cats. This means I will need a decent amount of time to warm up to new furry family members.

I would do best in a home with animals who will accept me as their rightful ruler and tiny humans who know their boundaries and will not get in my face too much.

UPDATE: We have gotten in contact with the owner and the cat is happy and safe! Thank you all for your concern and your help finding the man responsible!

Today at 2:56 PM somebody dumped a black cat at the doorstep of PAWS. It is unacceptable to abandon an innocent animal, and yet this is the second time it has happened this year. We have captured the individual on our security camera, and we will be providing the footage to the proper authorities.

We have successfully scanned the microchip and we will be working closely with the VTF to contact the owner.

The proper way to surrender an animal would be to fill out our surrender form on our website and begin the surrendering process. PAWS is volunteer run and funded, and when this happens the one who suffers is the innocent animal.

We are posting the picture of the individual who did the dumping below and if you have any information about the identity of the individual, please contact us immediately.

PAWS will close for the yearly winter closure in December, and will remain closed indefinitely into next year if the minimum required board positions are not filled. During this time and indefinite closure, we cannot accept any new animals.

PAWS is a is an independent non-profit organization that is entirely run by volunteers. Unfortunately, all board members can not stay on next year due to PCS and we are looking for volunteers to step up into a board position next year. Being a board member isn't easy, but so rewarding because many animals' lives will be saved because of you!

Follow the link below to set up a meeting with the president and vice president to talk about each of the positions and see which is right for you. We accept all genders and backgrounds (Active duty is welcome), but you must be at least 18 or older.

Earlier this year, two new stray cats were noticed on base. They were sometimes together and sometimes apart. But what was concerning was they seemed to appear out of nowhere leading those taking care of them to believe they were abandoned. They were trapped and neutered, and scanned for microchips. They didn’t have them, so no owner could be located. PAWS took them in and both cats were scared and spicy, hissing and growling at people from their traps. We named them Mario and Luigi, unsure if they were brothers or friends. They look very similar! Luigi, named for looking more scared than his companion, was able to go to foster right away since he was quieter. Mario, being very vocal and very angry, was in the shelter for a few weeks. In that time he was able to decompress and open up a little bit. Then we found a foster willing to take him in while construction happened at the shelter. That’s where Mario really learned to trust in humans. After construction was complete, both returned to the shelter together. They readjusted to being there and with each other quickly. Mario especially has become quite a love bug, snuggling right up in people’s laps! Luigi is still a shy guy, but we know he likes living the inside life (after all he came back to PAWS after his daring escape). We aren’t sure where they came from or what they went through, but Mario and Luigi know that we humans love them and care about them now!
