🎉🐾 HEARTより新年のご挨拶！ 🐾🎉
2025年を迎えるにあたり、2024年の活動を振り返りたいと思います。今年は116頭の動物を保護し、108頭が新しい家族と出会うことができました。
一つ一つの命が救われたのは、皆さまの温かいご支援とご協力のおかげです。本当にありがとうございます！
一方で、譲渡数は減少し続け、2022年と比べて半減しています。 これは一見心配に思えるかもしれませんが、実はポジティブな変化でもあります。徳島県内で動物を救うために活動する団体や個人が増えてきており、保護活動全体の成果が向上しているのです。 これにより、HEARTの保護と譲渡の必要性も変化してきています。
私たちは2020年から、根本的な問題に取り組むために予防活動—避妊/去勢手術の推進、教育、啓発—に注力してきました。保護が必要になる前に問題を減らすことで、動物たちにとってより明るい未来を築くことを目指しています。
それでもなお、230頭の保護動物が新しい家族を待っています。 一つ一つの譲渡が大切です。予防活動が持続的な変化をもたらす鍵である一方で、現在保護している動物たちが幸せな家庭を見つけることも、私たちの重要な目標です。
皆さまの温かいご支援に感謝いたします。2025年も、共に進歩と思いやり、そして希望に満ちた一年にしていきましょう！ 💕

As we welcome 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the past year. In 2024, we rescued 116 animals and helped 108 of them find loving homes. Each life saved and each successful adoption is a testament to the compassion and support of our community—thank you!
Our adoption numbers continue to decrease, now almost half of what they were in 2022. While this may seem concerning, it also reflects a positive change: more groups and individuals are stepping up to rescue animals in Tokushima. This growing network of rescuers means more lives are being saved overall, and the need for HEART’s rescue and adoption services is evolving.
Since 2020, we’ve focused on prevention efforts—spay/neuter programs, education, and advocacy to address the root causes of animal overpopulation and abandonment. By reducing the need for rescue in the first place, we’re building a brighter future for animals in our community.
Every adoption counts and we still have 230 rescued animals waiting for homes but we know that prevention is where lasting change begins.
