I'm Faith, an independent pet-sitter and dog-walker based in the Numama neighborhood. I have over a decade of experience petsitting and dogwalking around the world. I love all animals that woof and meow, but I have a particularly soft spot for giant dogs, such as Great Danes and Newfoundlands, and nakeys (Sphynx cats). Our pets are family, so I treat them as I would treat your (human) sons and dau

ghters. You should be aware that pet services are a freelance job for me and I am not currently insured. USD cash is strongly preferred, but I also accept PayPal and JPY cash.

After a few bouts of false fall, it finally feels like autumn is autumn-ing!

October was a surprisingly busy month of petsitting and dogwalking - thank you to everyone who trusts me with their four-legged children! I'll be stateside for most of November, but will be back in time to look after the furbabies over Thanksgiving and winter break!

For reference, upcoming federal holidays are Monday, November 11 for Veterans Day; Thursday, November 28 for Thanksgiving; and Wednesday, December 25 for Christmas. Barring exceptional circumstances (or you live very nearby me), I am fully booked for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have limited availability for the end of the year. Please note that I do not board pets at my own home and I only look after pets off-base.

Y'all...we only have four more months left in the year! But we still have lots of heat and typhoons to go (at least that's what "they" say). In the spirit of the summer Games, here are some throwback photos from 2021 when I worked as the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Athlete Services Supervisor for road cycling and track cycling. My pin game was STRONG!

After the 2020 Games concluded, I began petsitting more seriously because I realised I prefer the company of dogs and cats more than people.

I was recently in Luxembourg and was impressed by how dogs are welcomed on public transport (which is also all free of charge!), plus the provision of the finest, limited edition Lux p**p bags. At the same time, dogs were (mostly) well-behaved and trained; I loved how pets were so casually accepted and 'accommodated' for in daily life there 🤔

Welcome to August! It's my birthday month! It's been a unique summer for me as I took a three week-long break for the first time in three years of summer petsitting. I don't know if I'll do that again next year, but I certainly enjoyed my time away in Germany and Luxembourg. Now, it's time to get back to my monthly haikus.
