Supporting elderly people in informal settlements is vital. Often overlooked and highly vulnerable, older adults in these communities face numerous challenges including malnutrition, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), limited access to healthcare and essential commodities, mental health struggles, and financial insecurity.

By bringing them together, we create a safe and inclusive space for connection, mutual support, financial saving, and addressing their health needs, restoring dignity and improving their overall well-being. Fires cause destruction and pose a significant climate. risk due to their associated greenhouse gas emissions. About 10% of global emissions. The fire risk is exacerbated in urban informal settlements where government support is limited.
