Today we get to meet one of the speakers from Shamba Jijini community - Alice Mwangi.

Alice Mwangi is the founder of Hillside Organic Garden Kabete, a quarter acre home garden, on the outskirts of Nairobi. She is a trainer and consultant on ecological urban and kitchen gardens in various places over Kenya. Alice uses her garden for the family kitchen supplies, sales of excess, research, demonstration, inspiration and training on various ecological and regenerative agriculture techniques that can be applied by the trainees in their own spaces for production of healthy and organic food to their families.

Alice holds a bachelor degree in Range Management (Univ. of Nairobi) and a Master in Human Ecology (Universiteit Brussels - VUB) in 2006
