2 :THE CALIFORNIA WHITE Californian rabbit is a very beautiful domestic rabbit breed. It is also known as California White. George West in Southern California developed this breed in the early 1920s. He developed this wonderful rabbit breed by crossing Himalayan breeds and the Standard Chinchilla rabbit breed, and then crossed the offspring with the New Zealand WhitesThe Californian rabbit is large in size with well rounded compact body. The color variety is usually white with spots and normally they don’t have any other color.

Californians are very similar to the Himalayan in coloration, with a white body and colored points. They have big ears, which are held erect. And have very dark brown markings (almost black) on their tail, nose, feet and ears.

Their neck is very short, and they have pink eyes. They are very muscular, full in the shoulders and as deep as it is wide in the hindquarters. Their coat is soft and silky.

Like most other rabbit breeds, the Californian does are also heavier than the bucks. On average, adult does weight up to 5.45 kg and bucks up to 4.9 kg.

1:THE NEW ZEALAND

This breed of rabbit was initially bred for meat and fur. They grow fast and the large one could grow up to 4 to 5 Kg in weight. Other than their meat and fur they are often used for laboratory purposes and are also very popular as pet.

The fur is thick around the body, shorter near the ears and long, straight up ears. The eyes are normally bright and range from pink to red in color. One good thing about them is that they are resistant to most diseases.

Here's a little information to help you navigate pregnancy in rabbits:

Pregnancy period: 28 to 32 days.
Signs to look for: weight gain and nesting behavior in the late stages.

Provide a balanced diet, a comfortable environment, and a nesting box for the pregnant doe. Minimize handling to reduce stress, monitor the doe's health, and be prepared for a litter of 4 to 12 kits.

After birth, monitor the mother and kits closely, remove weak or stillborn kits to prevent the litter from being neglected, and only consider rebreeding after the kits are weaned to give the mother time to recover.

Proper care during pregnancy and post-birth is crucial for the health of both the mother and her kits. Always consult a veterinarian experienced in rabbit care for guidance and potential complication
