𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐉𝐀𝐖

Is a sign of too many worms in your sheep.

Bottle jaw is the accumulation of fluid under the skin of the jaw.
When you touch it, it feels like jelly and it feels flabby, and it does
not have much structure to it. This happens mostly in sheep and
goats; however, it can also happen in cattle, especially calves.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁?

It can be caused by many conditions, but it is usually due to
chronic liver fluke infections and/or worms, particularly Haemonchus Contortus / Barber Pole Worm in sheep. Other
conditions such as Johne's disease can also cause bottle jaw.

𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀

Treatment will depend on the main cause of the Bottle Jaw in the
first place.
