💥HOW TO SELECT UNPRODUCTIVE LAYERS OUT OF PRODUCTIVE ONES
Do this when a number of your hens are not laying (culling)👇👇👇
There is a huge difference between a laying hen and a non-laying hen by looking at these characteristics...
Check the following for laying hens on the 8th - 10th week when the hens have already started laying eggs
> Comb: For a hen that lays, the comb is large, slightly erect, shining red while a hen that does not lay, the comb is small, flat and pale
> Beak: For the hen that lays, it has a bleached beak and the one that doesn't lay has a yellow beak
> Eye: For the hen that is laying, it's eyes are shiny and then and full by protruding a little (prominent). For those that don't lay, the eyes are pale and slightly sunken.
> Abdomen: Big for a laying hen and soft. For a non-laying hen it is small and a little hard.
> Vent: For laying hens, the vent is large, moist and bleached. For non-laying hens, the vent is small, dry and yellow.
> P***c bones: For the chicken laying, that part leaves room, you can put more than 3 fingers of the hand. For a hen that does not lay eggs, this area is as small as "ONE" finger
