Found this very vital about sweet potatoes

Application of planting fertiliser
Your ridges are ready.
Make a furrow 6-8cm deep, at the centre of the ridge. Improve a small tool to make this task easy…Depth of planting is 4-6 cm deep.
add DAP fertiliser, approx. 10g per 10 ft (prepare a small container that can be used to calibrate the 10g or equivalent multiples of 10 g! – such that ..if a ridge comprises 50 ft, the little container that perfectly holds 10 grammes, is used to place 5 times portions for that ridge).
Use a slightly sharp stick of furrow tool to mix the fertiliser with the soil. You surely don’t want to choma your vines!
Materials needed: furrow tool
Actual planting
We want to be OPTIMAL with plant population!! Please take full control here 😊
ONE-FOOT SPACING: Prepare a rope, clearly market at 1ft interviews to signify the points of planting the vines. This will ensure that the 1ft spacing between vines is ‘compiled to the letter!!’. Such a marked rope should guide planting without guesswork. It should be movable to the next ridge once one ridge is completed.
HORIZONTAL planting: This will ensure that the vines can produce even-shaped tubers i.e., tubers are not struggling for space, with earlier comers taking up the bigger small.
If the vine has 4 nodes, 2 nodes are placed HORIZONTALLY on the ka-furrow and covered with soil.
If the vine has 5 nodes, place 3 nodes under the soil: if 6 nodes, place 3 under soil, if 7 nodes, place 4 under the soil. No vertical planting PLEASE!
In other words, one-half or two-thirds of the vine cuttings is placed beneath the soil.
Generously cover your horizontally placed vines with soil to close the furrow. ..Planting Depth is 4-6 cm deep.

Gapping – 3rd week
This takes place around the 3rd week. Visit the farm to spot-check if all vines have developed leaves. Replace any that have died.
W**d control, Top Dressing & Hilling 4th-5th, 8th week, 12th Week
By 4-5th week, there may already be w**ds that need to be cleared.
After w**d clearing, top-dress with a ferti
