Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
Due to my own health issues getting progressively worse I'm making some changes in how I do business with those of you who come to me as your 'coordinator' of sorts. Chansaem Animal Hospital will continue running as usual but my role in directly helping you, the pet owners, will be greatly reduced.
I really don't like cutting down on my work and I struggle with how to phrase things because, since my health condition changes constantly, I need to find something concrete that I can stick to in order to provide everyone with the best and most consistent service.
The following changes will be put into effect immediately:
1. There will be a 10,000 won charge for having me at any appointment, whether you need translation or not. This just covers my taxi fare to and from Chansaem. I am considering increasing this fee in the future if I decide to charge for translation, advice, etc. For now, I just need to cover my taxi fare.
2. I will not be assisting with same day appointments. If you need me present at your appointment it must be made *at least* one day in advance.
Notes:
New clients are always welcome and I will help any as much as I can. I will, however, have limited availability and may recommend some people have another animal hospital they can also rely on if needed.
And just to clarify, while is true that Dr.Nam speaks English, he has always had me around to do the listening and the talking, and does not feel fully equipped to responsibly handle the 1-2 clients daily needing English services. With that said, if you ever come to the clinic needing anything and having a language barrier, he will do his best to help you. Rest assured no one will be turned away.
There is an English speaking staff member who is at the clinic a few days a week but we're in the middle of making some scheduling changes so until that's settled I can't announce whe she will for sure be there.
Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me or comment below.
