Day 4 of the long Easter Weekend and we hope our shelter dogs all get walked today. Please wear sneakers (NOT flip flop) sunscreen and a hat or cap and use the crosswalk in front of ALT. Also please clean up after yourself and the dogs.
Unfortunately we are short staffed so if you want to help with cleaning, laundry and other duties, please head on down to the shelter.
We are open until 12pm.

This is Penny's story. She arrived as an emergency at the shelter Friday afternoon. The Dept of Agriculture rescued her from her owner and brought her to us. Penny was severly anemic and underweight. To save her life, she needed a blood transfusion.
Chuck, one of our shelter dogs, donated blood and saved her life. Chuck is a Hero!
Penny has a long way to go but she is now safe and receiving the care and love she needs and deserves.
