Operation Spikey-Haggis - Missing 35 nights/5 weeks!

We have been so thorough with our searching alongside an extensive advertising campaign, we feel the only logical conclusion is Spike is keeping someone company but it’s time he was returned home in time for Christmas.

The Kman Vets mascot, our constant companion these past 7 years, Mansun Manson’s pal and the best little dog to bring a smile to our faces everyday - we are hoping for a Christmas miracle 🎄

Not Spikey!

Another little list white dog seen on Webster’s Estates. The workmen near by have seen this dog hanging around since this am. If anyone knows who may be missing him please share.

THANK YOU! To everyone for looking out for these displaced pups ###

Operation Spikey-Haggis Night #25

We follow up every sighting and lead and last night we found this little one in EE. Running scared, a complete ball of mats but incredibly sweet and didn’t even try to bite as we picked her up.

Now affectionately named Frankie after finding her on Frank Sound. A HUGE thank you to the very kind resident who spotted her, closed her gate and called us 🧡

LOST DOGGIE IN WB this am: This dog was running on the road 9.50am Sat 7 Dec north/westbound and turned into the Sundial development near Jacque Scott’s in Westbay. Several passers by tried for ages to entice him to them but he kept running away. Last seen when ran into the yellow building outside area as per the photo opposite Sundial.

Night #20 - Operation Spikey-Haggis continues…

We have had multiple sightings from EE to WB this week. We follow every lead but sadly none were Spike. This mornings sighting on Frank Sound (!) has been the most credible and incredible so far.

If you see him please just take a photo so we can identify him quickly, you are all still our eyes out there and we are so very grateful. We miss him terribly 💔

Operation Spikey-Haggis Night #13. ….still not home 😞

Tracker dog Simba was in action over the weekend retracing areas we suspect Spikey may have been. It was great to watch him work and he too displayed focus and excitement around the garden centre area in Prospect, but then the trail runs cold.

Having now covered over 2 square miles with extensive searching and raising awareness, we have received a number of sightings, sadly none are Spikey. A big thanks to everyone being our eyes on the ground.

We really feel someone has taken him in, which gives a little comfort, however we want him home with us and our family where he belongs. We are keen to make sure everyone on island is aware, so word-of-mouth along with our flyers will hopefully get the message out and get him home. Thank you 🧡

Operation Spikey-Haggis Night #8
Hopeful but crest fallen…

Sadly we are now questioning the intel we received regarding the two sightings in the past 7 days. We have used Roger the tracker dog to follow up on these leads as well as obtaining CCTV footage from the Prospect area from the police. Now with a questionable time stamp, we are back to square one.

Roger did a great job and confirmed Spikey was on Selkirk and nearby area. However to be most effective we need a fresh scent to point any of the tracker dogs in the right direction.

This is why we have been very focused on trying to raise awareness as we just need a sighting to know where to look, set a trap or provoke someone to give him back.

Operation Spikey-Haggis. Night #7. Still searching…

After an early morning call yesterday we followed up a possible sighting, the first in 4 days. We enlisted the help of a tracker dog, who confirmed Spikey had been on Selkirk at somepoint.

At 5 am during our stake out we witnessed a local dog chasing chickens… sadly we think yesterdays sighting is a false ID of Spikey.

With no sightings or new information we can only deduce someone has picked him up, so once again please, please, if you have taken him simply give him back 🙏🏼🧡

Again an enormous thank you to our wonderful and supportive community. We couldn’t have got this far without you all, Thank you.

Night #5 - still no Spikey-Haggis

We focused efforts on raising awareness yesterday, many in the community were unaware of Spike’s plight.

We are sad he does’t seem to be able to bark and just give us a sign so we can keep looking. We followed up on leads yesterday but with no success, our staff have been tirelessly searching too. Whatever the outcome we cannot say that there was no stone unturned… Spikey if you are still out there just try and give us a sign…we are coming and we love you very, very much. Our wee Pal 🧡

Night #4 and still he isn’t home 🥲

We and our wonderful community have extensively canvassed the original missing point and beyond. At this point we really feel someone has him because he would bark! He is a noisy little fellow and drives us mad sometimes when he cries trying to get to us at work!

Please, please, please if you have picked him up just give him back. He has a shoulder injury that he requires daily medication for…the animal communicator confirms it is bothering him.

So he is alive…🧡🐾🏡

Thank you. The Mansons x

Please see a google maps pin of where he first went missing but we feel he is now further afield

Night 3 and Spikey still isn’t home, we are very sad.
Last night, at midnight, we managed to get a drone up with Cayman Drone Company and look for thermal signatures. All we found was a turtle, some ducks and many cats!

He has now not been seen since Thursday afternoon, so it is really hard to concentrate efforts as it is literally like looking for a needle in a haystack. We are going to check DOA this morning as we can only surmise someone has him, because he isn’t out there!

If a friend, neighbor or someone near to you has recently acquired a small white, very loved dog, please remind them there is a $5000 bounty on his head….we just want him home 🏡 THANK YOU.

UPDATE: STILL NO SPIKEY!!

Even his pal Alan cannot find him! A massive round the clock search has been ongoing since his disappearance , so many kind hearted folks have come out to help. Cayman Kind at its finest 🧡🙏🏼

There have only been 2 sightings, one at 7am yesterday by RVC in Red Bay, the second at the top of Selkirk Drive, later at 3pm. We have focused our efforts here and wider towards Prospect. It seems (for once) he is being very shy and not coming out, he has been described as soaked and wet and has yet to bark at us.

We are naturally really concerned for his welfare now and would appreciate everyone keeping their eyes peeled… we need a new starting point to focus our search.

A HUGE THANK YOU, to those who have already given their time or shared our plea. 🙏🏼🧡🐾
