Horses of Vang Vieng
The original Ponies of Vang Vieng was created eight years ago by the owners of The Elephant Crossing and Silver Naga hotels. The original herd consisted of rescued ponies who would previously have been sent to neighboring countries for consumption. The goal of creating an equestrian program was not only to protect the heritage of ponies in Laos, but also to coincide with both hotels’ aim to create memorable and ethical travel experiences for guests. We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our horse family and opening our services to help Horses of Vang Vieng, a rescue and rehabilitation program for local and imported horses to Laos.
By combining internationally accredited trainers with well-trained local talent, we’ve become proud of the Ponies of Vang Vieng project and hope that Horses of Vang Vieng will follow. We offer trekking, lessons and rides through the beautiful country side. Here at Horses of Vang Vieng we take pride in caring for our horses and welcome you to experience Vang Vieng’s beauty through our adventures.
