A wild wolf just made a rare appearance near Los Angeles.
The 3-year-old gray wolf traveled hundreds of miles before being spotted in L.A. County — the first known sighting in the area in about a century. Wildlife officials say she’s likely searching for a mate as she continues moving through the region.
Her journey marks a notable moment in the species’ ongoing return to California.
