Here are some key signs:
- Chronic itching including scratching, excessive licking, rubbing, paw chewing, or hair removal
- Recurrent ear infections
- Hair loss or bald patches

Wheelchairs provide several benefits for animals who have mobility challenges:
1. Increased mobility: Wheelchairs allow animals to move around freely, explore their environment, and engage in activities they enjoy, such as playing and interacting with their owners.
2. Improved quality of life: By giving animals the ability to move independently, wheelchairs enhance their overall well-being and quality of life. They can maintain their muscle strength, cardiovascular health, and mental stimulation.
3. Prevention of secondary health issues: Mobility limitations can lead to secondary health problems like muscle atrophy and pressure sores. Wheelchairs help prevent these issues by supporting proper weight distribution and reducing the risk of injury.
4. Enhanced socialization: With a wheelchair, animals can participate in social activities and outings, fostering interaction with other pets and people. This socialization is essential for their mental and emotional health.
5. Support for rehabilitation: For animals recovering from injuries or surgeries, wheelchairs provide crucial support during the rehabilitation process. They allow controlled movement and help build strength and coordination.
Overall, wheelchairs offer animals the opportunity to lead fulfilling and active lives despite mobility limitations, promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
