This weanling was a super star today! After a few baby moments, she stood still like a pro!
I'm going to attempt getting more pictures and posting more frequently since the business pages are gaining more traffic. Hopefully website reconstruction will be finished by the end of the week!

Finally got some equi-tape on deuce! He's loving it and I'm having fun practicing on my clients horses. Now that horses are pretty much done shedding I can actually use it now and I'm looking forward to making progress on some of my tougher cases!

Some horses had a really relaxing session! Over the past week, I trimmed quite a bit and performed some bodywork as well! These two horses really loved the bodywork!
I had noticed some tightness in the bay's poll during a training session so I worked on some poll releases. He was a little unsure at first but he eventually relaxed and felt much better!
The roan was laying down taking a nap through out trimming all of her feet, bodywork, and kinesiology taping! She was running around later that evening feeling good!

My Story
Hello, I'm Celia Howard!
Three years ago, my horse, Deuce, was diagnosed with Navicular syndrome. I learned weekly trims were necessary to allow corrective adjustments to occur and the rehabilitation process would enable his condition to improve; if not recover fully.
At the time, my current barefoot trimmer instructed me how to perform simple trims in between visits to aid in the rehabilitation. When I began to see the improvements reveal themselves, I grew to enjoy learning more about the horse hoof. As a result, my enjoyment to trim and help other horses' hooves also grew. I learned then that I wanted to help more than my horse alone.
So, I took up an offered apprenticeship under my, now former, barefoot trimmer. From this, I spent two and a half years learning and practicing in the field. I learned all she had to offer, and I learned much from books as well.
Though my apprenticeship has ended, I've been continuing in helping better horses' hooves. It is my love to help them in a better life with better feet.
