With Thailand’s recent bus accident, some parents are calling for field trips to be banned.

However, field trips are important because they give children a chance to learn outside the classroom and experience new things.

While accidents are unfortunate, some risks are beyond our control. Instead of banning trips, we could focus on improving safety.

In the end, field trips shouldn’t be mandatory, but parents should decide whether or not their kids can go.
