Details About Volunteering Programme🐢🐢🐢

I am Shantha from Sri Lanka. Marine Turtle Conservation Center is a place dedicated to turtle conservation and their survival in the sea.Volunteer program: Includes a variety of activities: cleaning the beach, feeding turtles, cleaning lakes and surrounding areas, teaching children about space conservation and nature conservation.The center's work schedule starts at 8.00 am, lunch is served from 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm and ends at 4.30 pm.Food & Accommodation: We offer accommodation and Sri Lankan food, home cooked food.You will stay in my house.We make towels and sheets.The room has a fan.Wi-Fi is available.We request $ 60 from one person to assist the center with all expenses. How to get here: Take a bus - there are buses from Colombo bus stand to Kosgoda Piyagama (direction Galle), and take a tuk-tuk to get here by train - departing from Colombo Fort Railway Station and departing from Bentota (towards Galle).To reach Tuk-Tuk.Taxis from Colombo Airport to our center cost Rs.26000 (Sri Lankan Rupees).There is a sign at the entrance to our center on Galle Road.You can easily find the Marine Turtle Conservation Center on Google Maps.Surrounding area and useful information: We live in a very humble but secure small village.When we work as a family you can easily get to know our neighbors.The people of Sri Lanka are very friendly and willing to help.Nearby are small supermarkets, a pharmacy and a post office.Located near medical services (government or private) when needed.It is recommended that you travel with health insurance.The beach is 250 meters from our center.It is a beautiful and secluded beach.If you can take a boat safari across several small islands w e get closer to the Madhu River.It is 1 to 30 hours away from the Galle train.You can also visit the Sinharaja Rainforest which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.We recommend you to get a Sri Lanka SIM card.You can buy it at the airport.Dialog is the most covered operator in Sri Lanka.
