Meet Pluto from Pitakotte.
Yesterday, a kind hearted resident had seen Pluto crying out in pain and struggling to walk. He was dragging his hind legs, clearly in agony. Thankfully, the compassionate resident let him into their house, made sure he was safe and reached out to us for help.

We immediately admitted Pluto to Best Care Animal Hospital for urgent care. Pluto was dehydrated, his blood count was low and he tested positive for tick fever. An X-ray revealed a previously fractured right femoral head that had healed. Doctors suspect that he has nerve compression due to the previous injury which is causing him so much pain.

Despite everything he’s been through, Pluto is a strong doggy. With proper pain management and physiotherapy, Pluto has a good chance of recovery and a better quality of life.

We are currently very low on funds, but we couldn’t say no to Pluto in his time of need. We are reaching out to you humbly asking for your support. Every little bit helps. Your kind donation, no matter how small, means so much.

Thank you for your compassion, generosity and support ❤️ 🙏🏻

We are happy to share that we commenced our first community stray dogs vaccination project in Ethul Kotte, with the generous support of a resident from the community.

In addition to our ongoing spay and neuter projects, we took this initiative to protect our community’s street doggies from deadly diseases such as Rabies, Parvovirus, and Distemper. These illnesses are highly contagious and often fatal. However, they are easily preventable through simple vaccinations.

This is just the start, we are planning to continue this vaccination project in batches, across more areas with the help of our sponsors and the communities.

If you would like to support or get involved in this life saving mission, please reach out to us. Every bit of help makes a big difference in the lives of our furry friends.

Thank you

Meet Pancha from Panchikawatte🐶.

He was rescued from the busy streets of Panchikawatte by one of our members.

Pancha was trying to cross the busy street on a rainy day morning and was almost run over by a vehicle. One of our members saw him and rescued him.

Pancha is currently with a foster waiting for his forever home. He is a male doggy around 5 weeks old. He is a sweet and loveable little boy.

All initial vaccinations will be given by KAWSL.

Please consider opening up your home and heart for little Pancha, he will surely brighten up your life with love.

Please consider giving Pancha his forever home.

It is with great sorrow that we bid farewell to our beloved Moby.

We did all that we could for Moby, but despite our best efforts, his battle with leukemia reached a point where nothing more could be done.

To all who stood by us and supported us during this challenging journey, we are deeply grateful to all of you. Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated 🙏🏻

Goodbye, Moby. You are now free from pain and suffering. May you rest in peace.❤️🙏🏼

This is Fluffy, a sweet community doggy from Ethulkotte. Concerned residents in the area reached out to us after noticing that Fluffy hadn’t eaten in two days and was becoming extremely lethargic.

We immediately sent a vet to examine her. Sadly, Fluffy was diagnosed with the Parvo virus, which is a serious and often deadly virus. Treatments were started immediately and thanks to the kind and compassionate residents, Fluffy is now under care and receiving her medication through IV.

Fluffy is not out of danger yet. She still has a long road to recovery and treatment needs to continue until she is better.

At KAWSL, we are currently facing a severe shortage of funds. But like always, we couldn’t look away from a life in need. We are doing everything we can for Fluffy with the help and support of the residents, but we need your help.

Even the smallest donation can make a big difference. Your support and generosity helps us to save helpless sick doggys like Fluffy who have no one else to turn to.

Thank you for standing by us, supporting and for believing in us. All this is made possible because of your generosity and support. We hope that you would continue to help us.

Thank you 🙏🏻
