Arcus Cats American Curl and Scottish fold cattery The first couple of the American Curl was brought to Lithuania in 2009. So we made up our mind to work on it.

It was the male cat Gabriel… and the female cat Frija… . They were brought by the actual owner Joana Šimkuvienė who has the breeding-ground which is called “JOVILGA”. Joana is the spearhead of the American Curl breed in Lithuania. It chanced that we took the relay of breeding the Curls over accidentally. Joana’s long-lived experience of growing different cat breeds helped us to plough our way to t

he world of the Curls. Therefore, on January in 2011 the first couple of Joana’s American Curls brought the first litter into the world. On the February of the same year we were visiting the exhibition of cats in the shopping centre “Panorama” held by LGAC. There was our first meeting with the American Curl breed. It fascinated us! Though we went to the exhibition without a particular decision on a cat breed, we made a resolve to take the American Curl at the same moment we saw it. The owner of the American Curl gladdened us by saying that there was the recent litter of the first American Curl couple. Without thinking twice my husband reserved one kitten from the litter. Soon the American Curl kitten, which is now called Dantė Jovilga, has reached our home. Shortly after that, our cat grew up and brought new headache. It was difficult to find a fine cat mate for our Dante because of a small number of the American Curls all over the world. So we appealed to Joana for help over again. She acquainted us with the Belgian breeding-ground “CURLPASSION”. We are very thankful to her for her concern and kindness. After our stay in Brussels, on the 3rd of November, in 2011 our cat Dante gave birth to her four lovely and healthy Curl kittens. Thus the first breed of Dante came into this world.
