Clackamas (E Portland) Charlie is a sweet hair sheep born three weeks ago. A single and huge. Momma is older and not doing well, Charlie hasn’t been able to feed well for past 3-5 days and is weak, and being treated for white muscle disease due to possible selenium defficiency. Currently in the house, sleeping in a box, lively and doing well on the bottle.

I usually can handle these sweet baby animal projects on my own but I am unable to do so over the next few weeks. Anyone want a bottle lamb with a 50:50 chance? Updated, I think with the right Care he has an 80-90% chance.

Update Sunday, the lamb will probably be fine with regular bottle care, he’s weak and in the barn gets knocked over and apparently can’t get up. In the house he runs all over the place pooping. He probably needs a bottle every three hours til he gets caught up. mom isn’t producing very much, I’ve been holding her down so he can nurse for every other feeding.

St. Croix lamb bottle babies, born 2/28, started on colostrum, take the bottle very well (Pritchard ni**le).

Momma ewe has always been a great mom but had an injury to her udder and won’t let them nurse this time. Triplets. Ewe and Ram on site. Plus we have too many babies this year for our property.

$25/each, 3 available. Mom had tetanus and dewormer 6 weeks befor lambing. 2 boys (can be banded before next Sunday, and one girl.

3 (likely) pregnant 10 month old ewe lambs. $300 now (on hoof), or $400 with young.

Due around 4/1. Strong and healthy, St. Croix, (born 4/14/20 to Journey, the mom that had five healthy lambs but has strong genetics for triplets and quads).

The plan was to harvest these ewes after they’ve weaned their young, however they are so strong, friendly and lovely that we will offer to sell them now pregnant, or with their nursing babies if anyone is looking to add to their flock or start a family-friendly farm.

Occasionally first time moms struggle to recognize their young, we found that having them watch another ewe give birth and bond to their young is how they learn to do the same. For this reason we have two other ewes here due to birth a few weeks prior.

Journey (4 years old) and her five healthy lambs born April 14, 2020. She has always had quads prior to this, and her mom had triplets and quads. Due again around 3/31/21.

Mr. Ram, born March 1, 2020, available for rent. $200. Friendly and polite, as was his father. St. Croix. He has bred our current six ewes, due over next 3-9 weeks.
