In addition to all the ways animals better our lives, they also come to us as our teachers and our guides, wanting to help support us along our journey, providing wisdom and counsel.

One of the most fascinating and rewarding aspects that communicating with animals allows humans to realize is that we share soul contracts with the animals in our lives.

Understanding this gives us the perspective that the bond between human and animal is deeper and more profound than companionship and guardianship. It recognizes that these relationships are spiritually orchestrated bonds; agreements designed to foster mutual growth, healing and a deep connection of love.

Through perceiving and identifying soul contracts, humans expand their potential for personal and spiritual growth. Because of their unique personalities and ways of being in the world, animals have the capacity to teach humans a great deal about love, patience, resilience, and the importance of living in the present moment.

Viewing these lessons through the lens of a soul contract, individuals are more likely to embrace and learn from them, helping to facilitate their own expansion and deepen their spiritual experience is this world.

Soul contracts offer us solace and comfort during times of grief, when a beloved animal transitions from their physical body back into spirit (the dying process).

Living with the faith that the animal’s presence was part of a spiritual agreement, and that the spirit remains ever-present after the body dies, can provide an immense sense of purpose and meaning to the relationship.

This can also ease the pain felt at the loss and help people find peace and maintain a knowing sense of connection.

Acknowledging and exploring the existence of a soul connection can provide insights into behaviors that might be considered challenging, as well as specific dynamics that could be present within the relationship.

For instance, when a guardian is challenged by a particular behavior, recognizing this could be related to something the animal is hoping to help them with, could allow them to approach the situation with more patience, compassion and a willingness to hear the message from their animal.

Not understanding that we share soul contracts with our animals, human guardians are unaware of the deep importance of soul contracts.

Too often, we can feel guilty for things we did or did not do that may have contributed to an accident, a disease, or a death.

We may feel unimaginable regret and guilt if we make the decision to euthanize our animal.

Being able to communicate with your animal after they have transitioned and hear their thoughts, feelings, and perspective is remarkably healing and calls forth a peace that soothes and comforts the unimaginable heartbreak.

The release from this guilt can be instrumental in moving through the energies of grief.

It is now my profound honor to help guide my clients on their own journeys of sorrow and loss, as they transition from the gripping hold of grief, to grace and gratitude.

Connecting with animals who are in Spirit allows me to share messages they may have for their humans, bring peace by getting answers to their questions, and offer relief from feelings of guilt, regret, and constant second-guessing.

It can be a devastating, gut-wrenching loss that leaves us experiencing a grief of profound magnitude.

As an Intuitive Animal Communicator, I believe (and know) that the bond we share with our animals transcends the physical realm. We continue to experience a soul-level connection with them that exists even after they have died and are in Spirit.

I learned from my soul-dog, Olivia (and hundreds more since), that animals have a much bigger role in deciding when they leave their physical bodies than we understand.

This can be a difficult concept to grasp and accept, and while it took me a while to wrap my human brain around it, every animal that I have communicated with in Spirit has affirmed this to be true.

It’s hard to think of something more uncertain than death—what happens afterwards, where do we go, will it hurt, when will it happen? From the moment of our birth, death becomes an undeniable reality that unveils itself to us. We cannot escape its presence any more than we can ignore the radiance of the sun. - EEW

Olivia and the animals have taught me that there is absolutely nothing to fear about “death” (in fact, they don’t even use that term—they call it transitioning—changing from physical form to non-physical).

They have taught me that the Spirit realm is an existence of such great joy, and love and abundance—on such a level that we in our human-ness cannot even begin to fathom its magnificent depths.

They have assured me that our loved ones (be they animal or human) are never far from us, they continue to love us and be present with us (albeit it in a different manner than we are accustomed to).

Your animal - and end-of-life experiences.

Many people are surprised to discover their animals may have a “BUCKET LIST" they would like to check off (and it almost always includes things they want to experience with their humans)!

They even have requests for FOODS they want to eat before they cross into Spirit!! (Ice cream and steak are top favorite requests!!)

For my part, I find it difficult to adequately express how much of an honor it is to be present with these animals, and their human families, during this time.

The last chapter of an animal’s life is sacred.

Animal Communication is a powerful and profound way for humans to partner with their animals during this time.

It allows for a “conversation” to occur, where the animal can express their thoughts and feelings about the entire process, and they are able to answer questions their humans may have. It also gives insight into how the animal is feeling physically and reveals what —if any—pain/discomfort they may be feeling and experiencing.

The animals often express thoughts, feelings, and guidance that can bring comfort to their humans’ heavy hearts. It can also alleviate feelings of anxiety, guilt and overwhelm so they are able to express their love, and anything they’d like their animal to know, in a way that celebrates the love they share for one another.................

We know this - before we ever have to face the reality of it....

As humans who love and share our lives with animals, for the most part we enter into these relationships with the knowing
that we will—
one day—
have to say good-bye to them,
as we will likely out live them.

It is unfair, and unimaginable to comprehend the pain we will feel when that time comes.

Still, we embrace these four legged beings, bringing them into our homes, loving and protecting them fiercely. We relish in the joy that is infused into our days from their presence.

Anticipatory Grief is a profound, and often overlooked experience, that can show up in many ways we when our beloved animals enter into their senior years.

It can look like:

*Heightened Anxiety: Every slight change in their behavior or health becomes a cause for concern, and our minds race with worry.

*Overwhelming Sadness: We may find ourselves preemptively mourning, shedding tears for a loss that hasn't happened yet. The mere thought of life without them can bring us to our knees.

Hyper-Attachment: Anticipatory grief can sometimes lead to clinging even tighter to our pets. We want to savor every moment, but this can also result in them feeling our anxiety.

Physical Symptoms: The stress of anticipating loss can manifest physically, affecting our sleep, appetite, and overall well-being. Our bodies carry the weight of our emotional turmoil.

Regret and Guilt: We might look back and wonder if we did enough, if we were the best pet parents we could be. Regret and guilt can be powerful companions during this time.

Seeking Information: We might delve into endless research and consultations, seeking any glimmer of hope or possibility of extending our furry friend's life.
