On todays episode of I got lost in the barn…

(If you have a horse, or a barn, you understand)

Tim went to grab a screwdriver from his tool bag to hang a shelf in the house and snapped this picture of a beautifully happy stall ready for its horse to be brought inside later that evening. (Man are we blessed to have the employees we do!!) ✨🐴🪶

It was a moment of gratitude and reflection on the things we are blessed with and what we have been continuing to work hard at, all to make Eagle Lake Ranch a happy place for horses and their humans. 🤍🐴

And the answer to the question you’ve all been wondering… an hour later Tim did return and, no, he did not remember the screwdriver. 🫠

It’s the 🎶most wonderful time of the year🎶…

Said rarely by horsemen in the winter 😂

Now, don’t get me wrong there are some fun times to be had in every season (skijoring anyone?) and our beautiful indoor arena allow us to continue to chase our riding goals without interruption 💪🏻 🐎

But equine management gets more complex during the wintertime. Good thing here at we are committed and ready to do that heavy lifting. 🤠

Remember: Be a friend.

Story behind this photo (maybe not the most artful photography with the shadows but such a good moment): 📸 Boon is such a kind friend to other horses and people. I was sitting enjoying a sunny spot in the pasture when along comes Boon ✨🐴 to just hang. Maybe he was enjoying some security in my presence and resting, maybe he thought I was napping and came to take watch. Either way, his presence was that of a friend. ✨🥰

Sometimes just being with someone is the best thing you can do as a friend.
