🌈🐾 **Pet Loss Support Group – You Are Not Alone** 🐾🌈

We know the heartbreak that comes with saying goodbye to a beloved pet. If you're grieving, please join us for a safe, supportive evening of connection and healing.

This free support group is open to anyone who is experiencing the loss of a pet — whether your loss is recent or years past. We'll share stories, support one another, and discuss why the loss of a pet can be so deeply felt.

💬 **Discussion Theme:** “Why Is Losing a Pet So Hard? What Could Make the Experience Easier?”

Our goal is to create a judgment-free space where everyone is welcome to grieve in their own way. Light refreshments will be served, and resource handouts will be available.

A member of the VMC family is missing. 😢

Benji, the beloved kitty of Dr. Chavarria and Dr. De Leon, escaped during the storm yesterday.
We are all hurting and our hearts ache for their family. We are desperate to bring Benji home. 💔
She is friendly, sweet, and so deeply loved.

May 26th marks Memorial Day, a day of honoring and mourning those who gave their lives protecting and serving. We give our thanks to them and their families.

Altas Palmas Animal Clinic will be closed today, May 26th, 2025 in observation of Memorial Day. We will reopen tomorrow, May 27th, 2025, at 7am for scheduled appointments and medication pick up. Thank you for your patience and understanding

Altas Palmas Animal Clinic is excited to announce that we have a new addition to our team starting on June 23rd!

Dr. Chen grew up in Brownsville, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical science from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley before attending veterinary school at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo. She is proud to be a member of the inaugural class of 2025.

Dr. Chen enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in internal medicine and clinical pathology. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to her patients and their families.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Chen enjoys reading, running, playing tennis, and cheering on the Houston Astros. She also loves spending time with her Great Dane, who keeps her on her toes and never fails to make her smile.
