As always I like to do an intro and Q&A of our invited panel, RCS asked the usual questions and here is what Steven had to say 👉

😻What was your first cat?
My first cat was a pure bred cat, a brown spotted tabby Bengal female called Brockenmoor Tiara. My first show with her was a combined traditional and TICA show. With her I got hooked to TICA. (RCS-thank you Tiara)👑

😻What do you love about cats, more than dogs?
I love both cats and dogs like most of us I have both at home. I wouldn’t say I love cats more. My cats and dogs are like family members to me.

😻How long have you been a cat judge?
I joined in TICA’s judging programme in Sept 2011 and became a TICA judge in Sept 2013.

😻What is your favourite breed and why?
I love all breeds but the 2 breeds I work with are special to me of course and that is Bengals and Abyssinians. I love Bengals because they are the epitome of wild, exotic cats and Abyssinians for their grace and felinity.

😻What do you love about the TICA system?
I love TICA system because it is very complete and competitive. Your cat doesn’t just compete against others in the same breed, age and s*x, but also against other breeds. Once the titles are achieved, you can work towards regional, international wins and international breed win.. then if your cat is really good you can reach the next level with the Lifetime Achievement award. But beauty is not the only thing that we reward as breeding cats can also get merit awards such as Outstanding Dam or Outstanding Sire.

Johnny Depp and Rod Stewart collaborated at a private benefit concert, raising $300,000 for Celia Hammond’s cat and kitten rescue. The two legends performed to support the British 1960s supermodel’s Animal Trust, with renditions of Rod's hits like "Maggi May," "Forever Young," and "First Cut is the Deepest." At 81, Celia Hammond founded the charity in 1986 to care for cats and kittens and help control the pet population with humane neutering practices.
