After months of waiting, these calico bristlenose plecos have their first brood. Removed the young ones from the main tank as the other fish will not leave any. Curious to see their markings as they grow.

Platinum white medaka eggs attached to a sponge filter. They are very sticky compared to killifish eggs. Collected more then 20 eggs today, with some ready to hatch. If you focus on the two focused eggs, you can see black spots which indicate that they are fertile and developing.

This week was good as I collected 6 clutches of Giant ramshorn snails, Marisa cornuarietis eggs. The big eggs are attached to aquarium corners or other objects such as the box filter and plastic pot in this case. I found this net really handy to pick up the sticky eggs. As you can see from the last photo the eggs are covered in a gelatinous mass.

Five albino bristlenose eggs were discarded. One of them fungused. The other 4 hatched and are now consuming their egg sack while going around the breeder.

Lemon blue eyed bristlenose plecos. The male can now take a break as the fry are leaving the slate cave.

Fertilisation is external in most species of frogs. The male frog grabs the female's back and fertilises the eggs as the female releases them. You can see the white eggs spread all over.

Cherry barbs after feeding on brineshrimp - Rohanella titteya

Two week old Cherry barbs. C.A.R.E.S species bred in my fishroom. Have you ever heard of this program?

Five albino bristlenose eggs were discarded. One of them fungused. The other 4 hatched and are now consuming their egg sack while going around the breeder.

Two Tinfoils looking to be rehomed together. One of them has a damaged eye. These fish require a large tank.

Albino corydoras took the shape of the adults.

Really like the colours on this male Desert goby.

Bleeding heart Platies on a stick on tablet. Available in 250 grms bags @ €5.

Just a few Cherry barbs. Most probably I removed the pair before they were ready. Having pest snails in the same aquarium did not help either.

Yesterday it was late night water changes. 9pm with aquarium lights off, fishroom ceiling lights on. Many fish look different in colour and pattern. Although not the most colourful of cichlids, I like the soft patterns on the African Butterfly cichlid, Anomalochromis thomasi.

Lamprologus multifasciatus. From one female and 4 juveniles I ended up with a colony of over 30 fish. Infact I will be rehoming some and also add more shells. If you look closely on the right there are some fry too.
