EUKANUBA
Eukanuba was founded in 1969 by Paul Iams. He chose the name Eukanuba from the world of jazz which used the word to define excellence or “tops”. Paul believed in producing a dog food that that would be excellent in nutrition and allow the dog to achieve excellence with it.
Eukanuba is a high quality dog food manufacturer that bases its recipes on the belief that dogs are instinctually and genetically carnivores. With this in mind, Eukanuba uses high quality meat proteins-primarily chicken and lamb- as the basis for the nutrition in the meals, not vegetables. For over 40 years, Eukanuba has unwavered in its beliefs that dogs should be fed as nature intended.
Eukanuba is highly respected by breeders and their key organizations. This respect has led to partnerships with groups such as the American Kennel Club and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
