« J’ai vu des chiens affamés et dans un piteux état, d’autres qui ont été maltraités… Comment les laisser à leur triste sort et poursuivre mon chemin ? C’est ainsi qu’est née COSA avec ma meilleure amie qui partage avec moi cet amour des animaux », confie Deeksha Ramphall. Collégiennes déjà, les deux amies arpentaient les rues pour nourrir les chiens errants. La récompense était dans les yeux de ces pauvres bêtes. Aujourd’hui, elles ont fait un grand pas en avant car, grâce à COSA, non seulement elles sensibilisent le public à la cause animale mais elles contribuent à améliorer, voire réinventer l’alimentation canine.

« Notre objectif est d’aider les chiens errants à avoir une vie meilleure. Notre rêve est devenu réalité. Les produits vendus chez COSA, que ce soit les friandises nutritives ou les accessoires pour animaux, nous permettent de soutenir directement la cause. Bien sûr nous aimerions avoir davantage de clients pour aider encore plus ces laissés-pour-compte. Nous les emmenons chez le vétérinaire si besoin est », précise Deeksha. En effet, 50 % des recettes de COSA financent les soins et la nourriture des chiens errants.

Les deux amies font preuve d’une bonne dose de créativité. Il suffit de voir les produits conçus avec soin et originalité, notamment un kit DIY permettant d’immortaliser les empreintes du chien ou du chat. « Un tableau de pattes, c’est un chef-d’œuvre unique… », affirme Deeksha avec un sourire.

« Un animal a la même valeur qu’un être humain. Les chiens errants ont un amour inconditionnel à offrir. Leur capacité à faire confiance, malgré leur passé, est une source d’inspiration. Nous rêvons d’une île Maurice où aucun chien ne souffre. Chaque geste compte et ensemble, nous pouvons bâtir un meilleur avenir pour eux. »

Dear Pawrents, Supporters, and Friends,

As we step into 2025—a fresh chapter filled with hope and possibilities—we want to take a moment to thank you all for your unwavering support. You’ve been the heart of COSA’s journey, and for that, we’re truly grateful.

Yet, while we celebrate this new beginning, we cannot ignore a stark reality. For every dog curled up safely in a warm home, there’s another braving the streets—hungry, cold, and forgotten. And even more heartbreaking, there are those who have found the comfort of a house but not the warmth of a home—loved less than they deserve or mistreated by those meant to care for them.

The growing issue of dog abandonment, mistreatment, and the rising number of strays is one we can no longer turn away from. It’s heartbreaking, and while many of us feel helpless, this is where our collective strength as a community can make a difference.

NGOs and individuals across Mauritius are doing incredible work to rescue, feed, and care for animals in need. But they can’t do it alone. No matter how much they give, the need continues to grow. That’s why, on behalf of the COSA team, we’re asking for your help. Whether it’s a donation to an NGO, sharing your resources, offering a stray some food and water, or even spreading awareness about responsible pet ownership, your kindness can change lives.

Together, we can create a Mauritius where every animal is cherished—where the only strays we have are missing puzzle pieces. 🐾

Here’s to 2025—a year of compassion, action, and hope. Let’s keep spreading kindness and making a difference, one paw at a time.💛

From paw-sibilities to reality! 🐾✨ COSA started just 7 months ago, and now we’re in L’Express! Who let the dogs out? Apparently, we did—with passion and a whole lot of treats! 🍪🐶 This is just the paw-ginning—bigger, bark-tastic things are on the way. Thanks to everyone who’s helped us unleash our potential. Let’s keep making tails wag, one paw at a time. 🐕❤️

As 2024 pawses into the distance, we can’t help but wag our tails thinking about the journey we’ve been on since COSA started in May. It’s been a mix of late nights, heart-wrenching moments (for the strays we’ve helped and the pups we’ve had to say goodbye to 🐾💔), and plenty of tail-wags that kept us going. With the love and support of our incredible families, clients, and you—our paw-some supporters—we’ve made it to where we are today. 🐕💖

In just 7 months, we’ve learned a ton, got creative, and had way more dog videos than we care to admit. And guess what? We’re ready to roll into 2025 with fresh ideas, new products, and a whole lot of pawsitivity. 🐾

Big things are coming, and trust us, it’s going to be pawsitively amazing! What’s the surprise? You’ll just have to wait and see, but we promise it’ll be worth it. Until then, the COSA team is sending you and your furry babies all the belly rubs, treats, and tail wags we can muster. 🐶🎉
