Este próximo viernes 15 de noviembre se realizará una campaña de esterilización gratuita pará gatos y perros en la comunidad de san bartolo la invitación está abierta para todos los pueblos y ranchos vecinos.

Los requisitos son los siguientes:

-Ayuno de 8 horas.
-No en celo o lactando.
- Edad mínima de 3 meses.
( Tiene que quedarse con su mascota)

SNAP and Cortez Rescue & Outreach Family are frequently contacted when people see an animal with an owner in distress or being abused. What you may not know is as a non-profit we do not have any legal standing to take the animal or make the owner do the right thing.

Mexico has laws about animal cruelty and a process to address it. If you see abuse you can get involved by notifying the appropriate office. If the threat to the animal is immediate contact the local police. To file a report you will need a photo of the animal, a photo of the house, and directions to the house where the animal is.

SNAP's primary mission is to educate and help Mexican families cover the cost of sterilization to prevent the overpopulation and abuse of dogs and cats. Unfortunately, we can not track down every report of abuse. We need all of you to be involved and report directly to the appropriate authorizes so we can stay focused on our mission of reducing the overpopulation of animals.

Please share, the DIF in Los Barriles will be hosting a free anti-rabies vaccine clinic for dogs and cats on Wednesday, September 25th at 9 am at the co**ha.

If you can not bring your animal you can bring a cooler to pick up the vaccine to give your animal the shot later.

The Fabulous Joanna is back in town and willing to open The Bookstore this THURSDAY, September 12th from 9 am to 11 am.

With the threat of some rain this weekend now is a good time to stock up on books and puzzles!

The Bookstore can be found inside the Highway 1 Storage units. Take the highway north past the Repsol, you'll see El Arco on the right, make a sharp left at our sign. Go past Baja Welding and enter the storage facility.

Every book sold goes to helping spay and neuter dogs and cats!

Another fun day at Curso de Verano in Los Barriles. The kids told us they had at least one dog or cat as a family member. On average most families had at least 3 or 4 animals as pets. According to the kids at least 50 percent of those animals have been sterilized. We hope that they will start a conversation with their parents about the importance of sterilization. We have more work to do.
