Our gorgeous rescue Lucky 🍀 got adopted! We fell in straight up ❤️ with this gentle soul the minute he walked into our cafe in San Miguel and rescued himself. We started him on great food, good skincare and showered him with alot of love and next month he heads to San Francisco to join his forever family! We love these happy endings. # # ❤️

Just wow! This has been a crazy trip back to our Oakland hub to retrieve our donated crates! Imagine how many more street dogs can be fed and given vet care when we don't have to spend money on more plastic crates!!!! We accept crate donations and can arrange pick up or easy drop off within the Bay Area.

What a day! PLP flight #26 with 4 gorgeous puppies being flown to their new fab families! Everyone is exhausted but elated ❤️
It is a looong day from SMA to Oakland and as u can see yours truly was the "pupscort."

Nothing more satisfying then a very cold diet coke upon delivering all the pups safe & sound.
Now for some relaxing 😎 Ahhhh

We have all been so Lucky 🍀. I ❤️ this baby with all my heart 💜. Lucky is heading to a short term foster tomorrow while he awaits his Bay Area adoption.
I am so sad to see him go but he will be with lots of doggie friends on a big piece of land with a wonderful lady.

Miguelita is in urgent need of a short term foster. This tiny bundle of ❤️ was abandoned in someone's backyard and although they are keeping her safe and caring for her now- they are leaving the country this week. Miguelita is sweet and cuddly. She will have her vaccines at the beginning of the week so can be with other animals.

Lucky is one fantastic boy! He has been with us a week and is getting healthier every day. Lucky is about 2 yrs old but still has fabulous puppy energy! He loves people, dogs & cats 🐱 and walks. He also loves to snooze. This sweetie should be ready for adoption in about 1 month. Lucky will make the perfect addition to your family and will definitely be your best friend. ❤️

Meet gorgeous LUCKY 🍀
This kind soul walked right into our cafe and just plopped down from exhaustion last Saturday. You can see that in the next picture. A couple days of good food and lots of love and warnth and now look at him!!! Those eyes 👀
I have seen him around town in the past, but couldn't catch him.
He is done living the rough life. This baby boy is literally one of the sweetest dogs i have met. He is between 1-2 years old, is kind and curious with other dogs and ❤️'s to chase flies. 🤣
Lucky is neutered so definitely belonged to someone. What happened?
He is getting prepared for adoption now and can fly to California next month.

Meet Dulce. This incredibly sweet 🥰doll was rescued today from the shelter just in the nick of time. We think she was somebodies pet because of her super sweet and affectionate demeanor. A few of us worked hard on a plan to "free" her early this morning and it worked! This is her after a lovely bath and her vet check up on our way to her foster.
Dulce is the perfect size for a nice house dog and companion. She is about 5 years old. She is up for adoption and would add so much joy to your life.

Meet Ralphie 😍This sweet boy was abandoned on the side of the road after 8 good years. Who would do that! Ralphie has no pre existing health conditions and really just wants to be all up in yo lap. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Happy 1st Birthday Guapo!!! This was one of Paloma's puppies- the momma dog who was found emaciated and rifling through garbage with her 9 puppies. Guapo was adopted last year from rural Mexico and is now in the beautiful redwoods of Portola Valley, Ca!

Meet Teddy! He was rescued 6 months ago after being shot 4 times and left for dead out in the campo. Our PLP team nursed him back to great health and yesterday this sweet soul met his human and he could not be happier!!

Paloma aka Emma is relaxing hard likley for the first time in her young life. A local rescuer, Amy GiGi found her rifling through a garbage pile last year with her 9 puppies and Paloma was so skinny you could count every single one of her ribs, tragic. Fast forward a year- all of these mamma's puppies have been adopted and finally Paloma has too. Beautiful 🤩 ending. ❤️

This just in!!!!!!! This precious girl pup just showed up at my friends house on his doorstep. This happens regularly and we help facilitate adoption. This bebe is only 6 weeks so not quite ready to fly but we are taking applications now as we prepare her to fly.

It turned out to be a success for these four doggies yesterday, flying up from Mexico to Oakland to their new families ❤️❤️❤️
We are so grateful to our Pupscort Nelly Rangel for taking such good care of our pups and my niece Mia McDonald for meeting the families at the airport for the handoff.

As we sent a flight to Oakland today and one of our cats got turned away at the airport here in Mexico for the crate being a couple inches too big I feel dismayed 😧 This is hard work and we sometimes feel like throwing in the towel but then a picture like this comes up on my feed and I truly think I am destined to help these wonderful creatures. This is me a loooong time ago with my precious Toby who died way too young. His spirit lives on through the work I do now and inspires me to keep going. ❤️

Tomorrow's lucky bunch flying to Oakland to new, loving families 🥳
Daphne, Sunflower, Russ y Penny. All of these amazing creatures had very rough starts. Daphne was rescued on a highway pregnant with Sunflower and a whole litter on Thanksgiving by Lee Ragsdale just skin and bones. Carla Ordonez took her in and her family kept the lot until now.
Russ was rescued by a fabulous vet Reuben Tores on the highway also. Penny was found wandering dazed, alone and confused by Marissa and crew.
