Last night was the first seen Sunset in 3 nights here at our Big Dog Sanctuary in Santa Cruz, after the torrential downfall from Lorena, not to mention the several earthquakes in Los Cabos area this week. Some crazy formations 🧐

The Sun is out again! Hoping everyone rode Lorena out ok. We got mucho 🌧, but not wind 🙏🏻. We're drying out today. Smells a bit wet-dog here 😬😆
Got some heavy, house shaking thunderclaps, and while the rest of our doggos run inside, Blackie Lawless runs straight for the commotion.
He's a good protector...a weird, crooked toothed, shiny angel sent to us. 💞

Hey All! 🚨🐕‍🦺 We need help here at our Dog Sanctuary for Sept this last stretch of Summer. Supplies Needed: - cleaning, shampoos, nutrition, kibble etc. We'd LOVE to stock up a bit. 💸
We've been doing this work for many years. Every single one here has come from the street as a puppy, thrown away. We are a husband/wife team: we rescue them, love them, shelter them and this is their forever home. 'Til death do us part. It's part of our mission here. 👣🐾

From our oldest 8yr old Little Bit Chihuahua to our tiny 7-week old Baja mix Cleo, who was dumped in front of our gate 2 weeks ago, we're here day in and day out. We give our all.
They've been sterilized to prevent countless future puppy litters to suffer. We do what we can to help the community this way. But is expensive upkeep.

Our newest tiny puppy rescue Cleo. All 6-7 weeks of her. Dumped here in the middle of the night, alone and with a damaged eye, she's been here 2 weeks now. With much TLC, her eye is healing good and she's growing. She sure is cute. And loud. And strong. Fits right in with all our other 🐒s. 🥰 🙌🏻💞

Hi all! A lovely video of 7 month old Boyka with our newbie, 5 week old Cleo. Both these little ones showed up literally at our gate and we've welcomed them in. It's what we do here.
A gentle play afternoon, dug down and in the shade, of course. Doing their beautiful puppy thing here at Baja Strays (Strays NO MORE!)🥰 whippersnappers 😆
