I'm a native ENGLISH SPEAKING VETERINARIAN who does house calls in the north part of Mexico City mainly in Lomas, Herradura, Interlomas, Santa fe, Polanco and Bosques area. Services provided (servicios proporcionados):

Havi is a 7 year old that came to us because he seemed to be peeing everywhere which the owners thought was a behavioural problem.

After doing a we noticed weigh gain in less than a year, alopecia, excesive peeing and drinking and less active then usual.

(1st photo to 2nd photo reveal how drastically he has changed in the course of a year.)

We did . Tests revealed several issues like , liver enzymes higher than normal, cystitis. All these pointing towards Cushings disease.

Thanks to our best ultrasound doc we found the adrenal glands and liver enlarged which also indicate also called . This syndrome is when the adrenal glands produce more cortisone than the body needs.

To have our definitive answer we did a test called "low dosage dexamethasone supression test" confirming the diagnosis that HAVI does have CUSHINGS DISEASE and we are starting him on treatment this week and will be closely monitored the following weeks to see how he tolerates the medicine.

Main C***s! A breed we don't see alot in Mexico city. Over 7kg /15lbs and so sweet and calm tempered.
This guy had a case of gastrointestinal issues this week. After treating his symptoms he is feeling alot better.
But... We found an early stage of gingivitis which needs to be monitored.

It's important to know what to expect when we adopt a specific breed. In the case of Main C***s, they are prone to hip dysplasia, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, spinal muscular atrophy, stomatitis, peridontal disease, polycystic kidney disease (PKD), and obesity.

Check with your vet to prevent health issues in your pet!

Olive is an 8 months . She was today after we made sure with that she was able to handle the surgery.
Everything went well and she is home recovering now with meds and rest.

This is what look like when they are healthy and the surgery is done in the right time. The surgery includes removing ovaries, tubes and uterus. We recommend to wait after the first cycle to schedule a female sterilization.
Visit your vet to see when is the best time for your pet to get fixed.

CHICO is a 15 year old - with bad teeth.

He came to us because he wasn't feeling well, and after his physical examen we found which needed treatment. We checked his general condition with finding he was generally healthy for an old aged cat and could handle .

Today he had done and is home recovering along with continued treatment. BEFORE AND AFTER photos of the difference dental work does.

Visit your vet annually to check for peridontal disease and other illnesses age brings.

These 2.5month old sisters have been adopted today! We got them tested for feline leukemia and aids and thankfully they are healthy kitties. They have been dewormed internally and externally, soon to start vaccines this week.
Using made the transition to their new home very smooth.

Reverse sneezing is another name for Paroxysmal respiration. Is it a cause for concern? Although it can last several minutes, your dog will be fine after the episode. A loud snorting sound is produced, which may sound like the dog has something caught in his nose or throat What causes it? Any irritation to the nose, sinuses, or back of the throat can trigger an episode. Allergies, dust, mucus, etc. Differencial diagnosis? If the episodes are frequent your vet will rule out it being instead a condition called collapsed traquea, or the presence of nasal tumor or polyps, or respirtory infections. Treatment? The majority of cases don't require medical treatment. If your dog experiences a reverse sneezing episode, you may gently stroke the neck and try to calm him.
