Cosecant, a senior poodle, came to us with early-stage kidney disease and severe dental issues that had slowly robbed him of his appetite. The rotten teeth in his mouth were causing chronic pain and had led to a sinus infection, resulting in persistent flu-like symptoms.

A dental extraction was performed to remove the source of infection and discomfort. Unfortunately, we encountered a complication—Cosecant experienced profuse nosebleeds and sneezing due to sinus irritation. The bleeding eventually subsided but still recurs occasionally..

After almost 10 days of supportive care, we’re happy to share that Cosecant became more active and had a livelier gait. Though he initially required syringe feeding as part of his recovery, he returned for a follow-up today—and we’re thrilled to hear he’s finally eating on his own ❤️‍🩹

𝙉𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨. 🥹

We honestly thought Cosecant might not make it, but this brave little fighter pulled through. 🥲 Thank you to his loving owner for never giving up on him and trusting us throughout the journey.

We hope Cosecant continues to get stronger with each passing day. 💪🏻

Mok the hamster came to us with bleeding from her v***a. 🩸

Upon examination, we confirmed that Mok is suffering from a uterine infection—a condition fairly common in older, unspayed female hamsters. It’s often caused by hormonal changes and thickening of the uterine lining, which allows bacteria to grow.

As Mok is already 2 years old—around the peak lifespan for a hamster—we’ve opted for medical management to keep her as comfortable as possible. 🥹

Despite everything, Mok remains one of the gentlest little hamsters we’ve ever met. 🐹🤎

Yesterday, Or Or urgently needed a blood transfusion after struggling to breathe due to dangerously low oxygen levels caused by anemia. The anemia had been present even before the emergency procedure for her premature delivery last week and persisted due to her underlying condition, the dry form of FIP.

Thanks to your understanding and kindness, we were able to prioritize her life-saving transfusion. Today, Or Or is back to her normal self, and hopefully her treatment will prevent the need for a second transfusion. 🤞🥲

As a small, humble clinic with limited manpower, your patience means the world to us and to Or Or. Thank you for allowing us to give her the care she needed during such a critical moment ❤️‍🩹🫂
