Wan Wan, the loyal factory protector, arrived in critical condition due to tick fever, needing an immediate blood transfusion. Despite our best efforts, the disease led to kidney and liver failure along with severe jaundice. 😥 We ruled out other causes, such as leptospirosis (rat urine disease), which can present similarly, but knew her condition was terminal.

After a few days of treatment and supportive care, she held on until her owner arrived, taking her last breath in their presence.

In reality, not all critical pets can be saved—just like not all fairy tales have happy endings. But there are no regrets when we’ve done our best. Rest well, Wan Wan. 🤍

Ella was one of Dogtor Lim’s longtime patients, a gentle old soul deeply loved by her family—a pair of retired, compassionate vegans who, despite their own choices, always ensured she had the protein she needed.

Reaching old age, Ella's legs started to weaken, and just last week, her hind legs could no longer carry her. Cancer had spread across her body, her liver struggled, leaving fluid in her abdomen, and her legs swelled from edema. Though we knew there was no recovery ahead, every moment was about making Ella as comfortable as possible.

Yesterday morning, she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her female owner couldn’t be there to say goodbye, but we hope Ella runs free at the rainbow bridge 🌈

During a routine spay on a TNR dog, we encountered unexpected complications: a significantly enlarged spleen and unusual bleeding that was difficult to control. These incidental findings prompted us to test for tick fever, revealing infections with 𝘌𝘩𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴 and 𝘉𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘢 𝘨𝘪𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘪.

Though she showed no prior symptoms, these tick-borne diseases can cause severe anemia and dangerously low platelet counts if left untreated.

This case underscores the 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Stray dogs are especially vulnerable to these infections, but pet owners can help safeguard their dogs by choosing effective tick prevention.

She is now under foster care at a shelter, completing her course of antibiotics before being released back to her original location. ❤️‍🩹

Carpet, a 6m/o gentle black puppy rescued from the streets by a kind soul. She was found wandering near shop lots, even getting bullied by a cat (see the video) 🥹

Carpet was spayed and will soon be ready for adoption.

Black dogs are often overlooked due to superstitions, but they’re just as deserving of love and a forever home.

99 Speedmart, a cat rescued in front of the convenience store, was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and managed with daily subcutaneous fluids by his rescuer.

He recently came to us with difficulty breathing; as his kidney failure progressed to the end stage, his kidneys could no longer regulate fluid balance, leading to edema (swelling) and, eventually, pleural effusion—a painful buildup around his lungs that made each breath harder.

Two days ago, he crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈, but we made sure his last days were peaceful and filled with love. Our mission with end-stage patients like 99 Speedmart is to offer them comfort, dignity, and a gentle farewell. 🥹🕊️

Today, we bid farewell to Helen, a sweet cat who had just begun her new chapter of life but tragically crossed the rainbow bridge due to suspected poisoning.

Helen was a beloved female cat in the neighborhood, known for always being on heat and giving birth to many litters. A kind-hearted lady helped her by having her trapped, and we spayed her on the 24th of September. She even came back for her booster vaccine just a few days ago, on the 20th of October.

This afternoon, we were devastated when Helen was brought to us in critical condition, seizing after being poisoned. Despite our best efforts, she didn’t make it.

Helen had finally found peace, living near the florist shop, no longer having to bear the burden of giving birth. But her life was cruelly taken away by an act of inhumanity.

We can only hope that the world becomes a little kinder to the voiceless. Rest in peace, Helen. 🤍🕊️

All the best to Sunsun in finding her new home. 🏠

Rescued as a heavily pregnant stray by the kind-hearted Ms. Tan, Sunsun is now ready for a fresh start. ❤️‍🩹

Sunsun underwent a spay procedure to prevent future litters, as it's difficult to find homes for all kittens and ensure their long-term care.

Spaying not only helps prevent unwanted pregnancies but also:
- Reduces the stress of being in heat
- Lowers the risk of attracting male cats
- Prevents uterine infections
- Promotes a healthier, happier life

Ah Chow, a stage 4 chronic kidney disease (CKD) patient, has been experiencing fainting episodes at home for the past 2 weeks, especially after walking or pooping. His severe anemia, with an HCT of just 15%, led us to perform an urgent blood transfusion to raise his blood count.

In advanced stages of CKD, the kidneys struggle to produce erythropoietin, a hormone essential for red blood cell production.

To help Ah Chow, we also administered an erythropoietin injection, hoping it encourages his body to produce new blood cells and extend his quality of life.

Lee Yi Sheng has been experiencing urinary incontinence and chronic constipation after recovering from the neurological dry form of FIP since she was young.

She requires manual evacuation from time to time, along with a special high-fiber diet to ease her bowel movements. 💩💩💩 Butt washing is done twice daily to prevent urine or f***s burns.

We hope that with the right management, her quality of life will continue to be well cared for. 💪🏻🥲

Today, we remember Cip, a gentle soul rescued by Cik Z after being abandoned. Under the care of Dogtor Lim since March, he showed incredible strength, surviving an extra 7 months despite his battle with chronic kidney disease. Even two days before his condition deteriorated, Cip was still eating on his own, showing his incredible spirit.

Yesterday, Cip crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving us with cherished memories of his sweet spirit. You will always be loved, Cip Cip 🤍

A poor kitten was presented with a degloving wound on her body, likely from an accident with a motor vehicle. The kittens were abandoned in front of a Mak Cik's house, simply because she has many cats at home. 😞

We did everything we could to stabilize and suture her wound, but sadly, after two days of fighting, she didn’t make it. Her spirit was strong until the end.

Not all cases have happy endings, but there are no regrets when we give our all. Rest in peace, little one. And thank you, Mak Cik for your kindness. 🤍

We have been feeding him, but he has been missing for the past two days. We have no idea where he is and can only hope nothing unfortunate has happened to him. 😞 If anyone seen him around, please let us know 🙏🏻

Abandoning pets is NOT the way to avoid responsibility. Please, do better.

We are extremely disturbed by what happened today. Our clinic’s renovations are still ongoing and we just turned on our signboard lights yesterday. We arrived at the premises at 1 pm today to find a medium-sized dog abandoned in a steel cage under the scorching sun. 😞

This behavior is utterly irresponsible and inhumane.

- The highway is directly opposite our clinic, putting the dog at serious risk of being hit by a car.
- There is a known group of stray dogs in the area, and the dog could have easily been attacked.
- If we had arrived an hour later, this dog would have likely died from heat stroke.

While we are dedicated to helping animals, we are not a shelter. Your dog was freed from the cage, but the neglect shown in this situation is unacceptable. This cannot and will not be tolerated.
