B.T.F.D.R was founded in memory of my husky Bella, a lovely angel!
On 3rd February 2023, my husky (Bella) and my shiba (Hachiko) were going on a walk, while walking them, they both escaped from their leashes and ran to a nearby highway near my residential area, unfortunately, both my furballs were hit by the oncoming cars, on the day it happened, I managed to find Bella's remains but Hachiko couldn't be found so we thought he ran into a jungle beside the highway, family and friends gathered up and hiked up the jungle till the next morning, we were hiking the trails in and out to find the poor boy but no signs of him, the next day we tried to get reach of our Malaysian "Rescue Response Team" but they couldn't help as much as they wanted to cause they had to follow procedures and animal rescue "isn't considered" as an emergency to the officials, I understand there are procedures to follow, but losing a pet is an emergency that requires attention as urgent as saving humans too, at that point I felt hopeless with the local authorities, the ones that I thought I could rely on the most during an emergency, turned down on me, the real support were from friends, family and also the lovely community in facebook, people who didn't even know me reached out to me and offered assistance, the support is what we really needed as we're going through so much pain, 3 days after the incident, a vet contacted one of my family members sending an image of Hachiko in the vet, he managed to survive the hit thanks to a good samaritan who saw him on the road, picked him up and sent him to the vet, they couldn't locate us till the 3rd day when they searched on facebook for a missing pet and came across my post, I'm forever thankful to the man who saved my dog, we're so hurt with the lost of my Bella and we were really grateful to have a second chance with my shiba, that is why I've decided to form this non profitable organisation, to form a few search teams to help find or rescue any animals that's in need of help! We hear you, we feel you, we understand you, come to us if your pet or you know a pet that needs rescuing!
