Stop Your Dogs from Biting Things! Tips and Tricks
“My dog chews EVERYTHING it sees😓”
“My dog BIT me when it gets too excited! 😠”
“My dog is DESTROYING everything in the house😭”
So many dog owners face the problems I mentioned above. If you're a dog owner, you know how frustrating it can be when your furry friend starts chewing on things they shouldn't. Not only is it destructive, but it can also be dangerous for their health. Here are some tips and tricks on how to stop your dogs from biting things:
1. Provide Appropriate Chew Toys / Treats
Dogs have a natural urge to chew, so it's important to provide them with appropriate chew toys/treats. Give your dog toys/treats that are safe and healthy to chew, such as bully sticks or durable rubber toys. This will help redirect their chewing behaviour to an acceptable item. 🐶 (Contact us if you want to know the best bully stick you can find in Malaysia, which is our trainer's choice )
2. Supervise Your Dog
Keep an eye on your dog and intervene when you see them chewing on something they shouldn't. Redirect their attention to an appropriate chew toy or give them a command to stop. Consistent training and positive reinforcement can help train your dog to leave things alone.🧐
3. Consider Crate Training
If you can't supervise your dog, consider crate training. This will give your dog a safe space to relax and prevent them from chewing on things they shouldn't when left alone. Gradually introduce your dog to the crate and make it a positive experience for them.🏠
4. Seek Professional Help
If your dog's chewing behavior is persistent or destructive, consider seeking help from a professional dog trainer. At Charles's Pet Suite, we offer customized training programs to help your dog learn to stop biting things.😊

Easy Tips on How to Remove Dogs' Tear Stain
As a pet owner and someone who runs a pet boarding business, I know the frustration of dealing with tear stains on dogs. 🥲 Every time I looked at my furkid, I couldn't help but notice the unsightly tear stains around their eyes. 😓 It got worse over time, and nothing seemed to work, no matter how much I searched online for a solution. 😱
I tried every single way to remove the tear stain, from using different grooming products to trying out home remedies, but nothing seemed effective. 😭 And to top it off, I couldn't even get the perfect photo of my dog because of the tear stain! 😠
I know I'm not alone in this struggle, so I want to share some tips and tricks for removing tear stains on dogs. 😀 One of the easiest and most effective ways is to regularly clean the area around their eyes with a gentle, tearless shampoo or solution. 👌
Another great tip is to add some apple cider vinegar to their drinking water, which can help balance the pH level in their bodies and reduce tear staining. 😄 And if you're looking for a natural remedy, try using a mixture of equal parts hydrogen peroxide and cornstarch to make a paste (contact me for more information about this), then apply it to the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth. 👍
But what causes tear staining in the first place? There are several factors that can contribute to this problem, such as genetics, diet, and allergies. 🤔 It's important to consult your veterinarian to rule out any underlying health issues and develop a plan to address the tear stains. 🧐
Don't let tear stains get in the way of capturing beautiful moments with your furkid. 🐶 With these tips and tricks, you can help reduce tear staining and enjoy a happier, healthier pet. 😊

Have you ever wondered why your furkid loves it when you pet them? 🤔
Well, it turns out that petting your furkid is not just enjoyable for them, but also for you! 🐾
Petting can release endorphins in both dogs and humans, creating a sense of pleasure and bonding between you and your furkid. Plus, it can help to reduce stress and anxiety levels in your pet, promoting relaxation and sleep. It's a win-win situation! 🙌
But let's face it, sometimes we can get carried away with our petting and forget to pay attention to our dog's cues. So, here are some signs to look out for when your furkid has had enough pets:
1. They move away from you or look uncomfortable.
2. They lick their lips, yawn, or pant excessively.
3. They turn their head away from you or avoid eye contact.
4. They growl, snap, or bark at you.
If you notice any of these signs, it's best to give your furkid some space and stop petting them for a while. Overstimulation can be stressful and uncomfortable for dogs, so it's important to respect their boundaries and let them decide when they want to be petted.
That being said, petting can also be used as a training method for your furkid! Positive reinforcement is a powerful training tool, and petting is a great way to reward your dog for good behavior. For example, if your dog comes when called, sits on command, or stays calm when visitors arrive, give them some pets and praise as a reward. This can help to reinforce the behavior and encourage your dog to repeat it in the future.
It's important to note that timing is key when using petting as a training method. Make sure to pet and praise your dog immediately after they display the desired behavior, so they can make the connection between the behavior and the reward. And always be consistent with your rewards and praise, so your dog knows what to expect.
Of course, it's also important to pay attention to your dog's individual preferences and body language when using petting as a training method. S
The Importance of Socializing Your Dog: Tips for a Happy and Well-Adjusted Pup
Is your pup shy or anxious around other pups or people? 😱 Socialization is an important part of keeping your furkid happy and well-adjusted. 😊 Here are some tips to help socialize your pup:
1. Start Early: Socialization should begin early, ideally when your furkid is a puppy. This allows them to get used to different sights, sounds, and experiences while they're still young and adaptable. 🐕
2. Positive Reinforcement: Use positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior and reward your furkid for calm and relaxed behavior around other furkids and people. 😗
3. Exposure to Different Environments: Take your furkid to new places and expose them to different environments, such as parks, pet-friendly stores, and cafes. This can help them feel more comfortable and confident in new situations. 🐾
4. Play Dates: Schedule play dates with other furkids or attend furkid-friendly events to give your pup the opportunity to interact with other animals in a safe and controlled environment. 🐶
5. Professional Training: If your furkid is particularly anxious or fearful, consider professional training or behavior modification to help them overcome their fears and develop better social skills. 😎
At Charles’s Pet Suite, we understand the importance of socialization for happy and well-adjusted furkids. That's why we offer socialization services for our guests, including supervised playtime with other furkids. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help socialize your furkid and keep them happy and healthy!
My Husky enjoys bully stick too much!
Daily life with my husky
Everyone knows keeping huskies only means one thing: CHAOS! 🤪 You must be prepared to lose everything in your house because he is coming for it. I tried to learn how to train them and get advice on making them less crazy.
One day, I came across a professional dog trainer from the US talking about a bully stick in one of his Youtube videos (DM me if you want to know what a bully stick is made of). I remember it clearly as he said the stick could keep the dog occupied and tire them out, so they won’t bite everything in the house. And most importantly, it is a healthy and natural snack. So, I searched online and bought it from Shopee, and I plan to give it to my husky when I want to cut his nails, shave his paws, clean his ears, or comb his hair while keeping him busy.
So “the day” arrived, and I gave it to my Husky, and he started gnawing on it immediately. He was so focused on the stick that he didn't even notice what I was doing.
I could cut his nails, shave his paws, clean his ears, and comb his hair without any resistance. It was like a miracle! The bully stick had completely distracted him and kept him occupied.
Not only was the bully stick a great way to keep my Husky entertained, but it also saved me a lot of time and frustration. It's incredible how a simple treat can make such a big difference. 😁
So, if you want to keep your pet occupied and perform grooming at the same time, I highly recommend giving them a bully stick. It might just be a lifesaver for you too! 😊
