Do you have an Appenzeller? Do you and your dog live in the United States or Canada? Then we would LOVE to include your dog in our 2025 Appenzell Mountain Dog Club of America (AMDCA) calendar! Young or old, male or female, black or havana, AMDCA member or not. Send your favorite, high-quality image of your Appenzeller dog to [email protected] for consideration to be included in next year's calendar. Please act now! Deadline for submission of all photos is October 31st.

Last year we had 59 fabulous photos - get your adorable Appenzeller’s photo in this year’s AMDCA fundraising calendar!

Good Morning Everyone
It has been a crazy summer!

I want to give everyone an update on the happenings at Sommer Wald.

In late June ,Carlo and I made a trip to Prague to pick up a new addition to the Sommer Wald family.

Slavoy (warrior) in Czech is a male puppy born the 10th of May . He is fitting in well with all the others and has adopted Danka and Mela as his nap buddies.

Hello Everyone

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. Things are in a state of remodeling at Sommers Wald.

Bickli , Mela, Anzel , Carly and Danka are all doing great. Mela just celebrated her birthday!!🎂

We do not have a breeding planned at this time. But, we do plan to breed again once all the remodeling is complete.

I know this is short notice but the AMDCA is making a calendar of all the Appenzellers in North America for a fund raising event for AMDCA.
