April 04 a customer texted us urgently with regards his critical leopard not willing to eat. Well, looked at its condition, we thought it wouldn't be that bad as we believed it might due to just incorrect temperature or diet. Luckily the damage wasn't severe when its owner reached out to us back then. It was a tough week getting it adapt to its new environment, so after few days of totifarm ultra pellet, good news came knocking at our door step! Weight increasing and started eating like a machine! We then changed its diet to our upcoming new classic advance pro pellet to increase back it's fiber intake for rest of the few months. Surprisingly this picky little fella loves it too! We believe the before and after picture proves it all. With the advance seaweed extract, and pellet micro compression technology, we believes the all new classic advance pro is going to improves our tortoise nutrient intake and appetite tremendously!
Oh, 1 thing to take note of, due to the high growth rate, do not ever forget their calcium intake while for indoor keeper, do remember the D3 combo ;)
The conclusion is, always get your pet from a trusted seller and then comes the most important part, if you're still new to keeping tortoises as pets, never hesitate to communicate with your seller and update them frequently, to ensure you're doing things correctly. A wise & responsible keeper will always ask & never be embarrassed by his/her mistakes. If mistakes are discovered early, you get a higher chance of saving your tortoise. Kudoos to QTPet, this leopard tortoise gene is definitely a Grade AA!

Totifarm BoyBoy u ada rindu sama u punya owner tak? Makanan tu penting, betul, tapi cara keeping dia penting jugak, ingat yea! Nak makan pellet apa jenama pun boleh lah, takde masalah, cuma personal preference je. Murah tu macam DIY ada, mahal tu macam Rolex ada, home made tu pun ada, tiruan macam Petaling Street pun banyak jugak, ada yang makan makanan arnab tuuuu pun ada. Makan tak mati, memang lah, tapi ilmu tu yang paling penting. Nak follow sifu sifu mana tu pun boleh, tapi jangan follow 10 sifu lepas tu rojak semua advice lah, ha, yang tulah mengerikan! Kita panggil tu sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnye jatuh ke tanah jugak. Kita di Totifarm neverlah criticize jenama lain, sebab kita faham every brand memang ada specialtynye. Terbaik tu, tipu je. Brand ni sama dengan brand tu, tipu jugak. Brand ni lepas makan tortoise mati, itu sebab kebodohanlah haha. Ingat, kalau kurakura mati di tangan u, tapi gagah macam abang sado di tangan orang lain, first thing to blame is yourself. Kalau start blaming yang lain tu, ah, tulah, sifat kebodohan dah muncul dekat otak dah. As a manufacturer kita tahu what's the needs for tortoises. Samalah kita compare dengan vaccine. Same concept kalian ;) Alah membeli menang memakai ;) Totifarm pellet ni bukanlah terbaik, tapi memang TOP jugak lah haha! Kita memang bukan yang best di market, tapi.............. Bukan kita Totifarm je, takde jenama yang best pun hahaha! Jokinglah yea, personal preference guys ;)

Well, what does land tortoises eat? You will always hear this from time to time. Honestly speaking anything as long as you don't threat it as a dog or lion. Anything eatable is fine. The most important thing is balance. A good balance diet is the best for your belove living stone! So other than gulping Totifarm Pellet food, they also graze on ehemmm, herbs this time. To be specific, it's actually trimming the BASIL LEAF my god! which is not my intention at all! But is oklah, it will grow again, so it's fine... Surprisingly, the p**p turn out super nice too!

When this little fella reached out to us, it was ok, just very less appetite. Not really critical but it's definitely not an easy stage which can be handle by anyone. So, we took up the challenge and try our best to help this fella build a healthy stomatch! It's been here for about two weeks? And things has been improving gradually. But well, it's a good start. We believes with the continuaty of providing Totifarm latest Life Powder, it will be soon back to its owner's hand like a mower! Keep it up little fella! You can do it!

Kenyan Leopard Tortoise can be astonishing if you have the right mindset of raising them ;)
No one would like to have a terrible pyramiding shell tortoise. A malnutritious flat shell that at some point look like little-little bump is pretty ugly too at our point of view. So yes, humidity is super important, same time, the large amount of nutrient is crucial! Well, tortoise ain't like human, we always heard some elderly would say,
"aiyaaaa, face not important geh, smart can d, can earn a living Liao"
Well, true and not true. Physical appearance is so much important that even you without a brain, with good attitude you have lots of opportunities. Just face the truth! Car also got facelift la! Human also need facelift eh! So start work your arse out and find more money to threat yourself and your tortoise good, sorry, not just good but perfectly great! XD
Now, tortoise just gonna stay there like what we call it a vase for viewing purpose. So why would you be so irresponsible by giving them cheap stuff so that it safe your pocket and destroy their appearance, their life? God have eyes bro!
A great bulky rounded shell is every tortoise enthusiast's dream. So starts now! Feed your tortoise the greatest nutrient possible! ;)

The all new classic 2.0 with higher crude fiber! Results come from tortoise itself not with our human eye, and of course not with our human hand either! You won't know the effect by holding the texture of the pellet in your hand. You will only see it on your tortoise growth. ;)
It's not the best brand, it's just another good brand you may consider to feed your tortoise 🤗

Many have asked does your tortoise fed on Vege too? Our answer is well, yes, if twice a year count. 80% of their diet is on Totifarm, 13% mulberry leaf, 2% vege and 5% fresh cactus. However, that's just us, make your own ratio according to your preference. Just our 2 cents, for those sulcata owners, do increase fresh cactus intakes as the liquid on cactus pad helps on preventing bladder stones too. Of course, sufficient water must to be given all the time! And the most crucial part, sufficient sunlight/UVB to ensure proper nutrients and calcium absorption for these living stone!

Still remember the first time having tortoise almost 20 years ago. There weren't much information by then, and sellers tend to give the wrong information just so that you keep buying new tortoises from them. There weren't any solid knowledge until the recent few years! Yes, thanks to the internet and people tend to be smarter and more sharing. More and more good quality tortoises are now in the market. Survival rate of baby tortoises are getting higher and higher too, thanks to the formulation of milk powder, human are getting smarter and smarter to be able to understand more in depth about these living rocks. ;)

RedFoot Tortoise having its Totifarm Ultra 2.0 pellet. It used to have Totifarm Classic 1.0 and has been crazy over it but due to lacking of protein source the growth rate is rather slow for a RedFood. Here's the moment while it's having its Totifarm Ultra 2.0 for the first time while waiting to be transit to its new owner the next day! Stay Healthy little Omnivore!

No Vege added in their diet during these two months.
This little ping-pong was in serious underweight and very bad appetite. Totifarm Classic 1.0 was a successor indeed for the past few years, but it's just not enough for those weak ones. Hence, the newly developed Totifarm 2.0. Yes, looking at the result, these few months of R&D flourished. It truly works!

When we talk about growth lines. Many people will wonder how does it actually look like underneath? So here you go, the holes you guys see in the picture, those are where soft tissue/collagen are formed. The main bone structure continue to grow, stretching out the top and side scutes. The more it stretches, the more intake of calcium, protein and etc are needed. Slowly, it will harden and become a unibody with the shell. Over grown with insufficient nutrient, calcium and UVB absorption will leads to bleeding on the growth lines. Simply just correct your diet and ensure UVB sufficiency and your Tortoise will be fine.
For those who wonder, how to have a bulkier body shape? Growth lines that are rather pushed outward shows that your tortoise are getting enough/great protein source and calcium. Hence, the continuity of proper diet intakes will eventually results a nice fuller body shape!
What's an important diet? Human can lie, but outcome doesn't lie ;)

Time for some additional calcium...
After a few weeks of Ultra Pellet and Booster Powder, overall body shape has been nicely domed. Although the permanent damage of pyramiding in the past is not reverseable but with proper care and diet, further improvement and enhancement is achievable!

It's good to know that it stopped pushing up, but filling up the flats and looking bulkier and macho! In short, fuller shaped shell! Sometimes slow is not the key, but humidity and diet! Imbalanced diet causes flat shell or uneven shell, while bad humidity causes serious pyramid. Of course when diet and humidity at its worst, you can imagine how bad it's gonna turn out!

Used to be flater and pyramided. Thought feeding just high fiber works but obviously raising them indoor is rather tricky due to harder to control on humidity level. After having them outdoor, with the right ratio of protein and high fiber, new growth has been smooth and overall shape of the tortoise has been well globed(protein intakes). Pyramid is permanent damage, and its none reverseable. So do take serious note, as creating the best humidity level is crucial for all your land tortoises.
So how protein actually works for the growing adults?
If an overall globe shaped shell(none pyramid of course) is what you prefer, over a flat body shape, then stop believing in the myth of high fiber diet only. A well mixed of both fiber and protein is what you should be looking for and the most important fact is HUMIDITY!
Do it right and stop believing in myth!

Please be aware that Totifarm never enter Taiwan, and the new Ultra just touched down Malaysia straight from the factory with latest ingredient and molding like two weeks ago. No additional pellets are made from the factory, and buyers who doesn't go through our official dealers, buy at your own risk.
