*What is an MKA Match Show?*
A Match Show is a relaxed, fun and easy going dog show. It is an opportunity for new dog show enthusiasts owning a pedigree dog to have an opportunity to experience dog showing in a more relaxed and fun setting, whilst giving them an idea of what a dog show is like and what it entails.
A fun match show is thus done in a knock-out style contest. How does that work?
Each participant is assigned an entry number randomly. The numbers are then drawn randomly two at a time and each of the two drawn numbers, compete against the other. The judge will examine each dog, move them to see their movement and condition individually and then pick a winner for that first round.
All the winners of Round 1 then go through to Round 2, to compete against other Round 1 winners, again two at a time. Once again, the winners of Round 2 go through to compete in Round 3.
So with each round the number of dogs gets less and eventually the last remaining two dogs will compete for the top prize of BEST IN SHOW & RESERVE BEST IN SHOW.
