Many aquarist will ask how to keep crystal clear water and algae-free tanks. In their thought, chemical additions or some special bacteria or other secret methods is involved.
But, it's actually just simple 4 very old school methods are involved.
Let me explain..
1) Feeding your fishes
Our cute lil fish jobs in their aquariums are simple, ..just eat, p**p ,swim, eat, p**p again ,swim..and repeat. They will keep on eating if you keep on feeding them..and keep on p**ping as well🤣.
Some aquarist actually feed their fish 4 meals a day..lol. Fish p**ps and leftover foods in your tank will become good fertilisers for algeas to grow, murk up the water and worst will ruin your water condition resulting in sick fishes and dead fishes.
The best is to feed your fish EVERY 2 DAYS ONCE. Yes, you read it correctly, only every 2 days. Fishes will stay active, they will keep the tank clean by nibbling on any growing algeas and also will p**p less. And don't worry, they won't be starving.

2)Lighting
Its nice to see your aquarium all lightup and flashy. But please keep the lights on not more than 8hrs a day. Excessive lighting will encourage algeas growth. And also avoid keeping tanks in area where direct sunlight hits on them.

3)Cleaning your tank
Its always good to scrub and scrape of any visible algeas that starts to show on your tank glasses. Just keep it as a ONCE A WEEK habit. Take around 20-3mnts once a week to do this, and you can see how clean and clear your tank glasses stays🥰

4)Water Change
Water change is actually like washing the fishes house and also like giving your fishes a bath🤣🤣. Trust me, your fishes loves water changes . Once a week, after cleaning your tank..just remove 20% of the water..and refill back with fresh water. And will be better if your could add in water conditioners(not anti-chlorine!!) when you do the water change. And Every 2 months, change 50% of the water. Your fish will be healthier and grow bigger faster, your plants will be flourishing and the whole tank will look stunning😘
