Progress report of these two Lionchus/Ranchus. Record as from 17/7/2024 to 1/8/2024. For this stage we used Otohime EP2 + Hikari Lionhead Premium. Quite impressive for the upsize, improved body shape and growth of their wen.

As for current progress, will update later on, as we're currently changed to Hulx Muscle and Mass Gain + Sh**un Advance + Mizuho Utukushi, while retaining the use of Otohime EP2 + EP2. And we do like the current progress.

Rainbow Crab yg comel. Buat masa ni stock dah sold out & belum ada plan nak restock (takde ruang dah sebenarnya hehehe).

MYDILAB BACTO CLEAN. Ni antara produk bacteria yg kami gunakan untuk pastikan air sentiasa dalam keadaan baik & sihat. Biomedia cepat matang, air cepat matang, ikan pun cepat respon.

Kalau biomedia dah cukup kuat, sistem filter cukup kuat, insyaaAllah air akan cepat jernih.

Kami pakai ni dapat kurangkan risiko kematian ikan akibat 'new tank syndrome' especially waktu baru setup tank atau kolam baru. Cuma sebaiknya amalkan juga selang masa untuk air cycle properly.

Kami gunakan juga tiap kali 'water change' cuma dosage dikurangkan berbanding setup tank baru ataupun tukar air lebih dari 80% (kalau buang air lama lebih 80% kami akan gunakan dosage yg sama macam setup tank baru).

Hari ni up sikit pasal sistem filter yg saya gunakan kat kolam ni. Filter DIY je gunakan brg2 yg mudah didapati kat mana2 kedai tapauwer & hardware. Sistem bertingkat dgn pelbagai jenis biomedia, dan kemudian air keluar melalui 2 outlets berlainan arah.

Dah banyak tahun guna filter ni tanpa ubah apa2, air pun sentiasa sihat. Dah mcm2 ikan keluar masuk kolam ni, semua sihat2 belaka.

Sistem filter ni saya gunakan jugak kat tank besar kat rumah ni. Sistem yg sama, cuma guna brg2 berbeza (top filter atas tank kaca kena pakai brg2 ringan & filter box panjang).

Maintenance water change dlm 2 bulan sekali (kadang lebih lg kalau malas hehehe). Cuci biomedia tiap 5-6 bulan + bacteria starter. PSB tuang tiap 2-3 minggu sekali. Water change dibuat berlainan masa dengan cuci biomedia untuk pastikan sentiasa ada backup beneficial bacteria.

Alhamdulillah Pothos dah makin meriah. Dah boleh pindah2 ke tempat lain. Bonsai Ficus Ginseng pun dah makin subur.

Teknik ni dipanggil "micro gardening", complete dengan ekosistem mikro yg bantu pertumbuhan. Tanah pun sihat.

Tak perlu ruang yg luas untuk "gardening". Dalam bekas terrarium kecik pun boleh layan.

Haaa tuuu diaaa besar dah Oscar ni. Jarang dapat check dia ni sebab letak dalam kolam fiber. Last check dulu pun dah 8+ inci. Ni size dah lebih kurang 10+ inci (termasuk ekor).

Warna pun dah makin terang & pekat. Antara Oscar yg lama dengan kami.

Ni nak letgo nak main ikan lain pulak.

Ada minat kasi wasssap.

Cara nak kenal jantina ketam. Boleh dikatakan agak mudah nak kenal, cuma yg buat susahnya bila nak pegang je (ketam s**a meronta2 sambil cuba nak "cubit" jari kita) hehehe.

Dalam gambar ni, semuanya adalah ketam jantan. Mudah je. Nampak segitiga tajam kat bawah badannya tu (carapace bawah aka abdomen)? Kalau nampak je segitiga tajam tu, confirmed jantan. Kalau takde, betina lah tu.

Boleh dikatakan semua ketam mempunyai anatomy asas yg sama, dan bahagian organ jantina yg sama.

Ada sesetengah jenis ketam (seperti contoh Sayamia sp & Parathelphusa sp), bila masuk je umur matang & sedia untuk mating, jantannya akan naik warna yg terang (biasanya purple-ish). Ni buat nampak perbezaan jantinanya.

SAE yg banyak berjasa. Kuat makan lumut. Sangat aktif. Baru pindahkan ke tank baru sebab tank lama banyak saingan. Plus, tank baru ni perlukan pemakan lumut. Dah 2 minggu dalam tank ni, dan nampak baik2 je. SAE adalah antara ikan pemakan lumut yg sangat efisien untuk kawal algae dalam tank. Boleh dikatakan hampir tiap masa akan merayau dalam tank sambil mulut "mengunyah". SAE punya najis selalunya tak jadi masalah dalam tank, najisnya mudah hancur & disedut pam filter. Berbanding Pleco (biasa dipanggil Ikan Bandaraya), najis Pleco agak berat & banyak berkumpul di dasar (terutama yg takde substrate). Pleco jugak kerap mengganggu susunatur dalam tank & substrate. Harga SAE jugak tak mahal. Boleh jadi pilihan yg lebih baik berbanding Pleco. Kecuali anda benar2 peminat Pleco sebagai penghuni tank & bukan diniatkan sebagai "pencuci tank". .....
